Always an awesome experience. If you have questions while roaming the exhibits, someone will be there to assist you. The art is vast and worldly, many of the great modern artists are represented throughout the meusem. The selection of art cannot be beat! It's free on Fridays gents. Grab your lady and take her to the modern. Xmas lights are up! The mood is set! If you attended on Friday, it's free! That's a solid value ahead of dinner! Can't go wrong!
The modern is a world class meusem and I enjoy every visit. There is also an awesome cafe within the meusem. It's a sit down type of place. Grab an amazing sandwhich or full entrée, you can't go wrong. Definitely worth every penny.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 26, 2024Previous reviewThe meusem is a one of a kind gem. Highly recommend a visit. It's free on Fridays and will absolutely inspire you!
Service is phenomenal.
Selection of art is one of a kind.
And the value is absolutely worth the visit.
One of my favorite place to visit in Fort Worth. The meusem sits in the art district and you can visit the Modern, the Amon, and the Kimbell...all are within the same campus. Parking is free. Street and lot parking available across the campus.
Lunch can be found in the meusems or a short walk to 7th.Oct 11, 2024Previous reviewAlways a good exhibit. Free on Fridays, new artist represented. Sunset Corridor is an amazing exhibit. Highly suggest visiting!

Absolutely a must see.Jul 5, 2024Previous reviewAlways an amazing exhibit. Love visiting the Modern. Free exibit on Fridays. The staff is friendly and will answer any questions you may have. It's always a nice place to grab a quick lunch at the cafe.
Highly recommend visiting the modern and any of our museums if you're in town for a visit. - 734021165Feb 21, 2024
Compared to other museums this one is a lot smaller and has a lot less art than what I'm used to.
I was able to finish looking at everything very quickly even though they were going to close within 2 hours of when I visited.
I think it's a steal if you were to get free admission or get it super cheap but the regular admission is a little more pricey.
Some of the staff were super kind but some as I was the last to leave the place because I had to run to the bathroom real quick- made me feel not good - I get you want to go home but that isn't cool to make a guest feel that way.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 10, 2023Updated review6 check-ins
Came here to see a special presentation of a matenee art movie. Also visited the two current exhibits.
As I've said before,I'm not a modern art "appreciator" as such, however,I love art and will look at anything. Especially a heavyweight pioneer like Robert Mother well who changed the face of modern art generations ago and young up and coming Dallas artist Jammie Holmes.
But,for me the real treat is the building. The Japanese architect, Tadao Ando has designed over 120 acclaimed buildings all over the world.
If you come here, you will understand. It's a special place...

Without question, a visit just to enjoy the design architecture is worth the trip.
Add the exhibits and permanent collections, that are always invigorating and you have a winner, every time. I came today for the Women Painting Women exhibition. Way more than I expected, its a fascinating look at paintings by women of women! All of them. every one!
Spanning the late 60s until today the exhibit is a thematic display of the female perspective that has been underrepresented for...well forever. It's refreshing to see something like this and I enjoyed every minute. Actually could have used more time but, will make a trip back since im so close and its here through September.
46 paintings total and everyone is worth a photograph to display on this post. I tried to minimize by putting only the best on but they are all good so the title is left off of most in order to save space.
I highly recommend checking this out if you are in the area or wondering if you should invest the time. Its a for sure...
Go!Mar 26, 2018Previous reviewNothing like a trip to Ft Worth to look at art! This museum is so well designed that it puts you at ease on entering the front door. While I've never been a big modern art fan, they have a well curated permanent collection. However, where they really shine is exhibition time. They do a superb job of displaying works exactly as needed. Give this museum a try and be sure to start with the awe inspiring , towering steel sculpture out front. It's worth the trip alone.
Nov 15, 2017Previous reviewThis is a world class museum. The building alone can keep you entertained for an hour. I found out this is their 125th anniversary making it the oldest museum in Texas. If you like art make sure you stop in here.

Modern art isn't my favorite kind of art, but this museum is beautiful. The architecture is special - open and airy. It provides a beautiful backdrop for the art. They frequently rotate their special exhibits so there is always something new to see.
Conveniently located in the Fort Worth stockyards area, you can easily add this museum to your itinerary. Free parking too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steven R.Fort Worth, TX9410Oct 24, 2024

AI cannot tell us what humans can about humanity! I would improve my experience by, instead of ghost actions, instead of empty symbols, instead of junk, actually seeing into the real world, the world of art, and the world artists who understand the importance of the human imagination. Unless you hold respectable critiques of AI in conversation could you call yourself an institution or group of humans dedicated to the integrity of art!

Do I really not have a review of this place? Been coming here since the first year it opened and a proud member. My niece has attended the amazing summer camp for two years. It is my go to place to beat the Sunday Scaries and reset my brain.

We love the Magnolia at the Modern!
The only place in Fort Worth to see independent & art house films.
Luckily we were here for the art Tailgating happening on August 16th. Loved it!! Much cooler outside after the 8pm film. Liked walking around the exhibits after dark. Hope it can be an annual event.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
