A really cool thrift shop in white plains that is open once a week and have plenty of wonderful trinkets to fill the home or apt . Plenty of items for the living room , bedroom and kitchen with most items new or close to new . Notice no clothing or footware and the staff who are made up of volunteers who do a super job having all the goods organized and displayed in plain view . I picked up some table ashtrays , two corner chairs and a bunch of little novelty items that will go great on my dresser drawer stand . I found the prices to be generous and all profits go to charities in the metro area . Worth the visit even with once a week operations . 4.5 on my yelp meter .

Its a once-a-week thrift store open on Thursday afternoons. Its a quant shop spread throughout several rooms of a little house on the grounds of st.Gregorys, (across from maple moor golf club). They sell donated goods, some are new. I've mostly bought home goods, jewelry, kitchen supplies, toys and such. Its run by volunteers and their revenue goes towards supporting charitable things - like housing centers and food banks. I've scored some nice things there. Fyi: Its not consignment and they don't deal in clothing. it would be 5 stars if it were open more days.

This place is ONLY OPEN ON THURSDAY.
*UPDATE: Had a very pleasant shopping experience here today almost two months later after my original review. Found some goodies and the ladies were super nice and it was much easier to shop here! Although I did notice that they had many of the same items from two months ago and they were not discounted. Wish I would've saw some fresher items. On the positive I got a lot of really nice jewelry for an awesome deal.
Original review: So the reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because my friend and I did find some neat things here for some reasonable prices. It's missing a star because apparently thrift stores in White Plains like to be social hour instead of a place of business. In one room there was entire dinner table with ladies seated at every seat taking up space and chatting like it was Sunday dinner. I found it very difficult to shop in here. I also had another lady following me around and trying to convince me to buy things I didn't have any interest in. Also, some of the prices on things were a little expensive for this being a thrift store. When you have a plate in the window that says 25 cents on the back and when I want to confirm what the price is (I know it shouldn't be .25 cents, but don't forget to take your yard sale sticker off next time) and you say it's $10 because it's special... no thanks. Also some of the things didn't have prices and I hate taking the item up and having someone say a price and it be way too much.
That being said, if I'm ever in the area again I may stop in hoping to have a quiet and productive shopping experience.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Oct 28, 2016Previous reviewThis place is ONLY OPEN ON THURSDAY.
