CYP11 family
1990년에 수집된 CYP 슈퍼 패밀리의 진화적 다양성, CYP11, CYP10, CYP27은 현재 미토콘드리아 클랜 CYP라고 불리는 같은 분기에 있다.[1][2]

시토크롬 P450, 가족 11은 CYP11로도 알려진 화음계 시토크롬 P450 모노옥시제나제 계열이다.이 계열에는 콜레스테롤 사이드체인 클레어베지 효소(CYP11A1), 스테로이드 11β-히드록실라아제(CYP11B1)와 알도스테론 신타제(CYP11B2) 등 스테로이드생식에 관여하는 효소가 많이 들어 있다.[3]CYP11은 A부터 E 5개의 하위 패밀리로 나눌 수 있으며,[4] CYP11A는 2R 이벤트 동안 복제된 CYP11C에 대한 오호놀로지로서, 테트라포드의 CYP11B는 암피오스에서 발견된 물고기의 조상인 [2]CYP11D와 F의 CYP11C로부터 진화되었다.[4]These are not the typical CYP subfamilies, which share at least 40% amino acid identity,[5] members between CYP11A and B subfamily are only 37.5-38.8% identical,[6] and the CYP11D and E genes seen in modern lancelet (Branchiostoma floridae, an ancient branch of chordate animals) is 39% identical to catfish CYP11A1.[2][4]
