JWP Joshi Puroresu (JWP女子プロレス, JWP Joshi Puroresu), also known as JWP Project (JWPプロジェクト, JWP Purojekuto) or simply JWP, was a Japanese joshi puroresu (women's professional wrestling) promotion, founded in 1992 as a splinter promotion of Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling.2017년 접이식 당시 25주년을 맞은 JWP는 일본에서 가장 오래된 조시 푸로레수 프로모션이었고, 오픈웨이트 챔피언십은 모든 조시에서 가장 오래된 챔피언십이었다.[2][3][4]처음부터 승진을 위해 일했던 볼쇼이 사령관은 JWP의 최종 사장을 지냈다.[5]이 프로모션의 슬로건은 "순수한 마음, 순수한 레슬링"[1]이었다.

JWP 조시 푸로레슈는 1992년 초 내부정치에 의해 황폐해진 일본여자프로레슬링(JWP)이 '슈터'와 '연예인'[6]으로 불리는 두 진영으로 갈라져 결국 1월 18일 해체되면서 설립되었다.[7][8]'슈터'측은 계속해서 레이디스 레전드 프로레슬링(LLPW)을 결성하였고, 재키 사토가 주도하고 야마모토 마사토시가 자금을 조달한 '연예인'측은 JWP프로젝트를 설립하여 이후 1992년 4월 3일에 첫 행사를 개최한 JWP 조시 푸로레슈로 개명하였다.[6][9][10]이미 이듬해 JWP는 WOWOW 채널과 텔레비전 계약을 체결하는데 성공했다.[11]In 1994, Jaleco published the JWP Joshi Pro Wrestling: Pure Wrestle Queens (JWP女子プロレス ピュア・レッスル・クイーンズ, JWP Joshi Puroresu Pyua Ressuru Kuīnzu) video game for the Super Famicom game console.[12]

JWP는 2017년 2월 8일 기자회견을 열어 2017년 4월 2일 창립 25주년 행사에 이어 이번 프로모션을 접고, 이후 모든 레슬링 선수가 프리랜서로 활동하게 될 것이라고 밝혔다.이 그룹의 JWP 제작사와의 계약은 4월에 만료될 예정이었고 양측은 새로운 계약을 체결할 수 없었다.볼쇼이는 지난 11월 설립해 2017년 8월 11일 새로운 프로모션을 시작하는 퓨어 드림 카부시키 가이샤를 맡게 됐다.새 회사는 일간스포츠 여자태그팀과 프로레슬링 챔피언십의 프린세스팀을 장악하게 되고 JWP명과 JWP 오픈급, 태그팀, 주니어 챔피언십은 모두 JWP 제작사에 남게 된다.JWP의 접기는 일본에서 가장 오래된 여자 프로레슬링 프로모션의 마지막을 장식했다.[24][25][26]다음 달, 볼쇼이의 새로운 승진은 "푸레-J"[27][28]라고 불릴 것이라고 발표되었다.2017년 4월 2일 고라쿠엔홀에서 열린 JWP의 마지막 쇼에는 1,180명이 참가했으며, 아즈미 유우가, 큐티 스즈키, 다이너마이트 간사이, 히카리 후쿠오카, 하루야마 가요코, 오자키 마유미 등 프로모션의 과거 몇몇 레슬링 선수들이 출연했다.[2][29]

The death of the group, the least popular of all the promotions running full-time schedules in Japan, wasn't unexpected and had been rumored since late last year. It is expected that with the ending of the JWP group that two of its wrestlers, Rumi Kazama and Shinobu Kandori, were going to approach Hachiro Tanaka (who already owns SWS and PWF and apparently is going sponsor Antonio Inoki in some ways) about financing a new women's promotion which would employ most of the old JWP women. No word if All Japan Women will hire any of the JWP wrestlers who are now out of wrestling work.
