토마스 키드(1971년 출생)는 미국의 역사가로, 현재 베일러 대학교의[1][2] 저명한 교수, 중서부 침례신학교 교회사 저명한 교수다.[3] 교수가 되기 전에 키드는 노트르담 대학에서 공부했다. 그는 18세기 영미 전도사에 관한 전기인 조지 화이트필드와 같은 저서의 저술가 겸 저자다. Kidd는 조지 화이트필드가 "미국 건국에서 상당한 영향력을 가지고 있다"[4]고 평가했다.
