Nintendo Entertainment Planning & Development (abbreviated as Nintendo EPD) is one of Nintendo's current internal software divisions. Created in 2015 following the consolidation of Nintendo EAD and Nintendo SPD, it is split into eleven different groups and focuses on the creation of first-party Nintendo titles.[1]

Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 3 is dedicated entirely to the production of games in The Legend of Zelda series, with Hidemaro Fujibayashi serving as project lead, Daiki Iwamoto and Makoto Miyanaga as group managers, and Eiji Aonuma as producer.
