“Most likely she would never be able to communicate with the outside world,” Daniel Taylor said about the prognosis of his wife, Sandra. “The body is there, but the person is absent. It was really very devastating to me to see her have to go through that.”

In 2019, Sandra underwent open heart surgery to replace a damaged valve. The operation was deemed successful, however, shortly after closing her heart inexplicably stopped. The time it took to resuscitate her left Sandra in a vegetative state and Daniel pleading with God to save her life.  

“They put her on full life support,” Daniel said. One of the medical team came in and informed us that he didn't expect her to make it through the night. It made me feel very down to see her like that, but I never gave up the faith – the strong faith in the love of God and the healing powers of Jesus.”

Daniel knew what he had to do. Picking up his phone, he called family and friends asking them to pray for Sandra’s healing.

“They were lifting up their prayers,” Daniel said. “Everything was really critical at that time, and they all came through and supported us, which made us feel good.”

But as the weeks went by, doctors said a positive outcome for Sandra seemed less and less likely.

“That was very hard to hear,” Daniel said. “We all wanted to continue with her treatments, which the doctors really didn't encourage. We would stand over her bedside and look for any movement or any signs that she was coming back around. Very hard on us, but we never gave up faith and prayer.”

And then out of nowhere, a miraculous change.

“She started tracking people and started to smile and acknowledge they were in there,” Daniel said. “That's when they sent her to rehab. One of the nurses in her care said. 

"I worked with people that's in the condition she's in and they don't come back from it. You only have your heavenly father to thank for this.’ They called her Ms. Lazarus because she was brought back from the dead. I knew prayers were answered. Thank God.”

 “I believe it is a miracle,” Sandra said. “I believe this is miracle given to me from God. Power of prayer, it's what brought me through.”

Brad and Charity Sayers married in 2013 with dreams of financial freedom, instead they faced $100,000 in debt from credit cards and student loans. Brad worked as an IT analyst, while Charity earned $10 an hour as an administrative assistant. For years, they struggled paycheck to paycheck barely covering their needs.
 
Brad says, “There was only a few dollars left at the end of the month. Let’s just say.”
 
Charity shares, “It was really a struggle.”
 
Despite their mounting bills, Brad and Charity prioritized tithing.
 
Brad shares, “We tithe because the word of God said to tithe, so our faith was in him, not in our resources.”
 
Charity dreamed of owning her own business, inspired by her love of natural products, Charity began creating hair care solutions for women.
 
Charity says, “We use natural ingredients. We try to make sure that we don't have all the chemicals. All the ladies will tell each other, ‘Hey, if you need, products, for natural hair,  look for Charity.’ So I started just selling on Etsy.”
 
In 2015, they  launched UHURU naturals at their church’s women’s conference. It made $350 in sales, and they gave over half as a first offering to God.
 
Brad recalls, “We just thought that if we took care of God's business, He'd take care of ours.”
 
As their business grew, they continued to tithe and sow generously.
 
Brad shares, “Our revenue went up and we had more than enough to make rent that was coming up with more leftover to actually buy more ingredients and supplies for the business. We knew it was the kingdom of God in operation.”
 
In 2016, God opened a door for them to take a bold step of faith. A retiring ostrich farmer offered them the chance to purchase his business, where they had sourced oil for their hair care products. They began selling pure ostrich oil, known for its omega-3 content – 10 times higher than other oils – and its ability to promote hair growth.
 
Charity says, “We sold his oil to pay him back. That's how really God works when you put Him first. We paid it off and then we started having another product.”
 
Brad says, “Sales just exploded. We actually ran out of room in our home.”
 
Over the next three years their revenue doubled annually. UHURU naturals was generating $2 million in revenue, allowing them to give generously to their church. They also were able to feed the poor and share the gospel in Africa.
 
Charity shares, “You see when you feed somebody, they are going to listen to what you have to say and then they receive Jesus in their hearts. And that's our joy.”
 
Inspired by their mission to feed and save lives globally, the couple began supporting ministries like CBN.
 
Charity says, “We thought CBN does a great job, feeding all over the world. If everybody helps somebody, I think the whole world would be taken care of.”
 
Brad shares, “When you sow into the kingdom, we get people saved. There's no greater ground, in my opinion, than the Christian broadcasting network.”
 
Today, Brad and Charity have built a thriving business that generates over $1.5 million dollars annually, with customers worldwide. They’ve also become debt-free, and began teaching online classes to help others start their own businesses. They continue to give generously, trusting God to use them to bless others.
 
Brad says, “Do not hesitate to tithe and give offerings. Put your trust in Him and not in your bank account and not in your own ability. Partner with Him and He'll take you places you've never dreamed.”

5-year-old Angela looks tiny next to kids her age. She is underweight and malnourished. 
“Angela is underweight because she doesn’t eat nutritious meals,” her mom Luisa told us. “We just eat white rice with a little sauce.  It is hard to watch her not gaining weight.”  

Then a typhoon hit their community in the Philippines. It destroyed Luisa’s garden that she uses to earn money.  And her husband temporarily lost work as a farm laborer. That meant providing enough food for Angela became even more difficult.  Now crying, Luisa added, “I don’t know where we’re going to get our next meal from. I said, ‘God, please help us.’”   

Then thanks you, CBN’s Orphan's Promise launched a feeding program in Angela’s village.  For the next year, we’ll provide two healthy meals a day for kids while they attend school.  Plus, we’ll provide free medical check-ups, school supplies, and teach the children about the Bible through Superbook. The program is already paying off.   

“Before the the program she was sickly and doesn’t eat well,” said the now smiling Luisa. “Now she is healthier and has gained weight. She never misses school, and her grades are better.  She is even learning Bible verses.” 

“Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right,” recited the beaming 6-year-old. 

“I am so happy i can’t even explain this joy. Thank you so much!” declared Luisa.  

“Thank you very much, I love you all!” added the adorable Luisa.

In the heart of Ukraine, a 10-year-old boy named Artem faced a difficult and emotional journey. When he was just 7 years old, Artem experienced the pain of his parents’ divorce. Since then, he has lived with his father while his younger sister, Nastya, stayed with their mother. The siblings could only see each other on weekends, adding to the emotional strain.

Artem's father, who had recently repented and found faith, brought him to the Superbook Club for the first time about two years ago. Initially, Artem resisted. “At first, I didn't want to go to church, to the club, to school or any other place. Everyone around me seemed evil and I didn’t want to see anyone. I wanted only one thing—to go home to my mother. But she would not take me back,” Artem recalls. His feelings of rejection and confusion led him to act out, hoping to be expelled from the club. “I did everything to get kicked out. I did not listen to the teacher and did bad things. But they didn't kick me out.”

Despite his initial resistance, the Superbook Club became a place of transformation for Artem. Over time, he began to feel more comfortable and even looked forward to attending. The turning point came when he watched the Superbook episodes and learned about the love and sacrifice of Jesus. These stories resonated deeply with him, helping him understand that he was not alone, and that God had a plan for him.

Artem's heart began to soften, and he repeated the sinner’s prayer, accepting Jesus into his life. “I have my own Bible. I read it by myself and with my dad. We pray for my mom together and we wait for her to come to church. I also pray,” he shares. This new faith brought a sense of peace and purpose to Artem's life. He found comfort in the Word of God and began to see the world differently.

The impact of Superbook on Artem's life was profound. He went from feeling unwanted and struggling academically to becoming a confident and diligent student. “Now I have friends. I used to think that no one wanted me, that I was stupid and would never be able to study well. Now I study well and memorize Bible stories and verses,” Artem proudly states.
