Erin Andrews shares brutal four-word response she got from Michael Strahan when she asked for career advice
Erin Andrews revealed a blunt yet effective response from Michael Strahan when she consulted him before starting her entrepreneurial ventures.
While the pair are colleagues on Fox, Andrews looked to Strahan for advice on their business projects, including her clothing line, WEAR.
In an interview with The Entrepreneur posted on Instagram, Andrews credited Strahan with her success. She also recalled the advice he gave which has stayed with her ever since.
Andrews' first words were, 'I want to be the female version of Michael Strahan.'
Later in the conversation, Andrews revealed that Strahan advised her to 'work like you're broke.'
This mindset has worked out for Strahan who has found entrepreneurial success after a 15-year career in the NFL.

Besides his work on Fox Sports, Strahan is also the co-founder of agency SMAC Entertainment
Besides his work on Fox Sports, Strahan is also the co-founder of SMAC Entertainment. The management agency represents popular internet personalities, such as Andrews, and American rap star Wiz Khalifa.
With this advice in mind, Andrews launched WEAR in 2019 with a focus on sports-themed women's apparel. While she started the clothing line to widen the market for women's sports clothes, the brand has gained much traction thanks to Taylor Swift.
Andrews asked her 14-time Grammy-winning friend to wear her pieces several times last year as Swift's romance with Travis Kelce began bringing more eyes to Chiefs games. Within seconds, Swifties flooded her online store - selling out her Chiefs windbreaker.
'Swifties aren't just Chiefs fans. They're Miami Dolphins fans. They're Green Bay Packers fans,' Andrews later shared. 'They're two different worlds we're seeing. But I think women like myself can help.'
Aside from giving her career and business advice, Strahan is one of Andrews' biggest supporters when they're on air for NFL duties. In the same way, Andrews expressed her gratitude for Strahan on air.
During a Packers-Bears game in November, Andrews greeted Strahan on national television, saying 'I know another birthday boy. I'm gonna pretend I'm a hologram in the studio walking in. Where are you, Michael Strahan? Happy Birthday to you this week my friend.'
After receiving the greeting, Strahan returned the praise by complementing Andrews' look, as she stunned in a black leather jacket for the broadcast.
'Thank You. I appreciate it,' Strahan said. 'You talk about looking fresh, start talking about that jacket you got on. You are looking fresh, yeah! I love you EA.'
