Reba McEntire and boyfriend Rex Linn's Christmas plans REVEALED as star dishes on their holiday 'traditions'

Reba McEntire and her boyfriend Rex Linn's special Christmas plans have been revealed - amid their nearly five-year relationship. 

The I'm A Survivor singer, 69 - who previously gushed that Linn is the 'love of her life' - has developed a series of Christmas traditions with the CSI: Miami actor, 68, since they began dating in 2020. 

During a recent interview with E! News, the actress shared, 'Rex and I will go see a movie. We have our Christmas on Christmas Eve and he likes to go see movies.'

'So, we'll do that first thing in the morning before the crowds hit the theatres. Then we'll come back and we'll have our meals.' 

McEntire added, 'You noticed I said "meals," because we'll have lunch and supper and probably a midnight snack. That will be our tradition.' 

In regards to what movie both she and Rex intend to watch, she expressed that they want to see The Fire Inside - which is set to release on Christmas Day through Amazon MGM Studios.

The biographical sports drama follows professional boxer Claressa "T-Rex" Shields as she trains for the 2012 Summer Olympics. 

A number of other films are set to release on Christmas Day, including Nosferatu, A Complete Unknown and Babygirl. 

Reba and Rex both currently star in the NBC sitcom titled Happy's Place, and the country singer revealed that she loves working alongside her partner.

She expressed, 'We met working. Rex and I met on The Gambler movie in '91, so we're used to working together and also being together as partners and buddies and lovers. It just works out.'

Earlier this year, The Voice judge further gushed about having the chance to work alongside Linn on the sitcom - which premiered back in October. 

The premise is: 'Bobbie (Reba) inherits a restaurant from her late father, then learns she must share ownership with a newly discovered half-sister, creating awkward tension between the two,' per IMDB.

Linn took on the role of a chef named Emmett in the show, while other cast members include Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Belissa Escobedo and Tokala Black Elk.

While talking to Extra, McEntire stated, 'We've gotten to do two other projects together, ABC's Big Sky and then Lifetime's The Hammer movie. We love working together.'

'What's really the best part about it, he's my coach, so when we're home, he's helping me with my lines and to memorize. He's wonderful, helps me a lot.'

Reba has also relished starring alongside Melissa Peterman, her long-time friend, in Happy's Place.

She said, 'I love to do sitcoms. They're so much fun and with Melissa, we have a blast wherever we are, but in front of those four cameras, it's a lot of mischief happening.'

But when the couple - who first crossed paths in 1991 - are not on set, Reba revealed they enjoy watching a good game of college football.

'If not, we're rehearsing or going outside and feeding the birds and watering the rose garden. We just love to be together.'

McEntire has been married twice and tied the knot in 1976 to Charlie Battles but they divorced in 1987. Two years later, she married Narvel Blackstock but the former couple split in 2015.

In regards to how her current relationship with Rex has 'changed' her, the songstress said, 'I think we have made each other better.'

'Rex brings out the little girl in me and I have fun. I'm dorky, I'm goofy. He is too. We love to laugh, and we love each other. We both love watching television. We’re always on the lookout for a new series or movie to watch.'

She continued, 'He says that it's his homework, watching other actors and learning from them. I do it for pure enjoyment. Right now we're streaming The Penguin.'

Reba then got candid about whether she would get married again in the future and told Us Weekly, 'It makes no difference to me. I'm fine with the way we are.'

'If Rex ever wants to get married, then we'll talk about it, but I'm fine. I love our relationship 100 percent.'

McEntire also shared the secret to their relationship and expressed, 'I have his back, and he has mine. That's very important. I feel very safe with Rex.'

The Reba actress and Rex first crossed paths in 1991 while on set of the film, The Gambler Returns: The Luck Of The Draw.

The pair reconnected years later and in October 2020, the actress revealed that she was dating Linn on her Living & Learning podcast.

'It's good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what's going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress,' she said at the time.

And he's very into my music. I'm very into his career,' McEntire added. 'Whatever happens in the future, we're very stable. I look forward to having more things to look forward to.'

And later that same year, the couple made their red carpet debut as they attended the CMA Awards.

Linn has also made appearances on her Instagram page since the pair struck up a romance four years ago.
