Selena Gomez took a trip down memory lane as she recalled her very first kiss with a fellow Disney Channel star during a new interview with W Magazine.
The newly-engaged actress, 32, did not shy away from discussing her love life while reflecting on 'probably' having 'too many crushes' when she was younger.
'Jesse McCartney—when Beautiful Soul came out—that was just life-changing for me. I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. I also just had crushes more in real life than on actors or musicians,' she gushed.
The Lose You to Love Me hitmaker, who recently accepted record producer Benny Blanco's proposal after over a year of dating, went on to note that her 'first kiss was on TV.'
'I was 11 or 12 years old, and I guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse. It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because both of us were so young. We were figuring out how to kiss. I had never done it, and I was so scared,' she told the outlet.
Gomez noted that she didn't have her first 'real-life one' until she was 14 with a 'boy named Juan.'

Back in 2020, she joked that kissing Sprouse was 'one of the worse days of' her life because she had a big crush on Dylan's twin brother, Cole.
'I thought we were going to be together,' Gomez said on The Kelly Clarkson Show of the Riverdale star.
Selena, who hadn't yet started appearing on her own Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place, played Gwen, a classmate who had to lock lips with one of the leads in the school play.
'I actually leaned in to kiss him, and I had my eyes closed a little too early and I ended up missing, like, half of his lips,' she told Twist Magazine on the on-screen smooch. 'So it ended up being the most awkward kiss in the world.'
During her interview for W Magazine, the performer also spoke about what drew her to the Spanish-language musical thriller, Emilia Pérez, for which she's nominated for a Golden Globe.
'Pure curiosity. I love working with incredible filmmakers—that's usually what I'm drawn to the most. When I read the script, I thought it was extremely thought-provoking, visceral, and groundbreaking. But some films may not turn out that way. I really felt that Audiard is just so spectacular that the movie was in really good hands,' she raved.
The Wizards of Waverly Place alum also said she was 'extremely proud to speak Spanish' in the film.
'I was nervous, but I have released a whole album in Spanish before. I’m more comfortable singing in Spanish, so doing an entire film was a little intimidating,' she admitted.

Gomez also confessed to loving her character's blonde hair.
'I loved the blonde—I actually really like blonde on myself. A lot of people don't. The wig was incredible. It took about 80 hours to do it so that it would match my hairline and for everything to be exact,' she said of her hair transformation.
As for whether the Grammy nominee has any pet peeves, she admitted that it rubs her the wrong way when people 'are late.'
'I don't like how people treat other people if they treat me differently. I notice those things very quickly. Because I have lovely people in my life that have nothing to do with the industry, and I really pay attention to how people treat my friends and people around me,' she added.

Gomez also said she relates to her astrological sign, a Cancer, which she describes as 'very sensitive' and people who 'tend to love' others 'deeply, whether it's healthy or not.'
'I tend to overthink a bit, but I love deeply and I care about people so much,' she explained.
The Only Murders in the Building actress announced her engagement last month while flashing a photo of her 8-carat, marquise-cut engagement ring on Instagram.
At the time, jeweler, Laura Taylor, told MailOnline, 'Benny's choice of engagement ring for Selena is an exquisite and timeless design, perfectly suited to her style.'

'The ring features an incredible marquise-cut diamond at its center, estimated to be around 8 carats, set on a yellow gold pavé band.'
Taylor added, 'The marquise cut, with its elongated and pointed shape, is a statement choice, known for its brilliance and the way it elongates the finger, creating a striking and elegant look.'
'The pavé band, with its continuous row of smaller diamonds set closely together, adds an extra layer of sparkle and luxury, beautifully complementing the central marquise diamond.'
'This setting maximizes the brilliance of the overall design while maintaining a sense of sophistication.
'The central diamond is likely of exceptional quality, with VVS1 clarity and colorless grading in the D-F range. I would estimate the ring to be worth upwards of £800,000 ($1 million), depending on the precise diamond specifications.'
The engagement also pays homage to Selena's hit 2015 track titled, Good For You, where she notably sings the lyrics: 'I'm on my marquise diamonds / I'm a marquise diamond / Could even make that Tiffany jealous.'

The actress revealed that Benny had proposed to her during a romantic picnic on a set
The couple's romance was confirmed nearly one year earlier in December of last year - but the pair had already been dating for six months at the time.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month, Selena discussed her budding romance with Blanco.
'This is the safest I've ever felt in [a relationship], and I see a future with this person. And when you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down.'
The singer then explained that there are aspects of their relationship that fans 'don't see' as the couple keep their romance mainly out of the public eye.
