Any news ? Is this remake still alive ?
Yes, we are still alive and working hard :)
This mod is almost 20 years in the making. Add another 20 years, and by that time you'll get some fresh news. Maybe.
You are doing a great job I appreciate that really. But maybe I couldn't have a chance to try this masterpiece in my remaining life.
So, I'll absolutely recommend this to my grandson. Who knows if he could luckily have the chance.
Anyway I respect your effort.
God Jesus! Give me strength. Guide me oh Holy one! Wash me with your Blood oh Jesus!
I surrender myself to you my saviour Christ.
John 3:16 ✝️✝️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for doing the work.

Cheers all around for the awesome Christmas update. It was a real holiday treat. But I think you guys deserve a bit more than mere congratulations given what you've had to deal with as of late.
I've been following this project since 2011. I have been waiting in anticipation for it for nearly 15 years now. I have been rooting for you guys to succeed in making this throughout that entire length of time, and I always will. And let me tell you - if you guys keep at it and continue on with your awesome work on this as you have been for all these years, then the day that the dream finally becomes reality and this mod releases will be made all the more legendary by not just how you managed to complete it after nearly 2 decades of dedication, but how you managed to persevere through all the disgusting, nasty, entitled, moronic, and utterly worthless POS comments that I've seen posted on this page. And given the overwhelming space these comments have wasted on this mod's page, I think it's more than fitting for me to take a little time on this fine evening to write a nice lengthy rant about it. And I really don't care if the rant is long, either, since it's not like I have to worry about losing anyone halfway through when most of the clowns I'm referring to here probably can't even read to begin with. You can't really blame me for being loud enough to be heard over all the clown music that's been playing in this comment section lately.
I'm completely unapologetic and I do not care how many feelings I am hurting here, because somebody really ought to call this out for what it is. So do keep that in mind as I say that these people leaving these comments are actual slime, actively working to discourage and demoralize these devs who have been working passionately on this entirely free fan-made labor of love for almost 20 years. It really gets more and more infuriating the longer you think about it. Instead of cheering on these devs for their efforts and showing gratitude for all their years of hard work thus far, these individuals are instead spamming them with bafflingly stupid and infuriatingly ignorant requests that absolutely reek of entitlement, such as asking these devs to throw away large portions of the work they've already done in the name of benefitting other similar fan projects that have been around for a miniscule fraction of the time this project has been in development for. Some of these people have even written what are basically full-length open letters on here with the sole purpose of outright demanding that these devs give up. Absolutely insane. You can't even make this up.
It really staggers the mind to even begin to consider that these people have actually chosen to spend any time or effort on something this comically low. Actual textbook loser behavior. To say these people should be ashamed of themselves and how pathetic their lack of respect and appreciation are would really be an understatement, as they should really be embarrassed to even show their faces on a site like this that exists to give a home to these kinds of free, passion-driven fan projects in the first place. I sincerely hope the efforts of these losers backfire and these devs are instead only more motivated to work towards a release that will show these people how obnoxiously wrong they all were in the most deserved way possible. And at the end of the day, it's a lose-lose for these people. If the project reaches completion, then they're obviously all proven to have been clowns once and for all. If the project dies, then they're still not proven right because nobody will ever know for sure how much of a self-fulfilling prophecy was at play in these people pushing the devs to give up, while they also kinda deprive themselves of the chance to play and enjoy something awesome at the same time.
There are unfortunate reasons people feel this way. Partly is because the project has been in development for almost 19 years, with it being restarted multiple times. Recently, the dev team was fractured, as a lead dev said some less than appropriate things, and was punished, causing a divide on the team. This has erased nearly 50% of work on the project, as those who left, took their work with them. Will the project ever be completed? It's possible, the dev team are still incredibly passionate, but at it's current rate, it is likely another OP4 remake project will be completed prior, which hopefully will not demoralize OBM's continued development. Overall, these are the factors that have led to lost faith in the project, though nasty comments should not be left, as they are unnecessary and frankly, cruel. Here's to a productive and drama free 2025 for these guys, despite everything, they show no signs of stopping.
I don't think it's 50%. This claim need proof, please.
Surprisingly polite and respectful. Certainly the last thing I expected in response. Still, I must disagree with the notion that these people have any good reason whatsoever to be negative and act like they're owed something as they have been.
These devs are people working for free to provide people with something awesome purely out of their own passion. There is absolutely no rational negative response to that. Period. They don't owe people anything just because they've taken this much time to make something for nothing in return. If these people are upset that the team had internal drama, then they should probably stop contributing further to the team's stress with their negativity. If these people want to play an Opposing Force remake so badly, then they should stop negatively contributing to the leading one in development. What these people are doing is stupid and insufferable, and I'll happily be the one to call it out. People are allowed to be unhappy and discontent, but if they're going to express that negativity out loud like stupid children without being even remotely close to having a good reason to do so, then they should keep their mouths shut.
Having babies in the back seat screaming and crying about how long the trip is isn't going to get the car to Disneyland any faster. All that does is prove that a spanking is in order.
Gee, I wonder where these negative people would go on their way to do just to prove a point... Oh, wait...
****** Up Beyond All Recognition
It's too late now unfortunately. Oh well.

Excuse you, 5,000 word limit, but I'm not done yet. It's really not unfair to call these people sad when there literally is no happy end for them in what they're doing. Anyways, I think I've just about said what needed to be said here. Now, I already know that the flood of these stupid negative comments won't be stopped or even halted by me. The stupids far outnumber me, after all. And hell, even if the people who run this page understandably straight-up delete these 2 comments 2 seconds after I post them because they don't want this much hostility towards other users present here, it would still be worth it. Because it was worth my time, even if for just 2 seconds, to squash you worms with the bottom of my boot and replace the space on this page you would've otherwise wasted with your stupid negativity with my unfathomably based and entirely warranted omegachad galaxybrain response.
So, again - cheers to the devs. The gameplay video you dropped was badass, the music in it was awesome, the sound design and look of the zombies is great, the creature and character models you shared generally look fantastic quality-wise and pretty inspired design-wise, and the hype is real. I'll be waiting patiently with my fingers crossed and cheering you on as always. Ladies and gentlemen, let us commence forth and acquire this bread.
Edit: Lmao, and I see the negative karma votes are already pouring in. Good. Glad I succeeded in getting the attention of all these idiots. I was worried I might have to resort to playing Neanderthal mating calls to get their attention in the absence of their ability to read. I was especially worried when I didn't hear the "horde alerted" sound effect play like it normally does.
Now my true plan comes to fruition as I watch my newly-purchased stock in Huggies and Pampers explode in valuation as all these fart-huffing hooligans fill their diapers attempting to read something that's infinitely too correct for their Skibidi Toilet-rotted brains to process. If I play my cards right, I should have netted a cool million from this by the end of the holiday season. Oh, and try not to strain yourselves too hard when pressing the spooky minus button or you might also accidentally glitch out your garbage AI and blow a circuit. Nobody wants to have to clean up that mess. Or actually, on second thought, go ahead - your engagement on this page must surely benefit the devs who deserve all the exposure they can get right now for their hard work.
Thank god I took that creative writing in high school all those years ago. Here comes the money, baby.
Get a job.
