The mysterious Lady Tokimi dispatches the warrior Z to Earth in order to learn more about Tenchi and his connection to Washuu and Tsunami. Z is ordered not to lay a hand on Tenchi, but he may have his own agenda since he quickly sets about making trouble for our hero.

Meanwhile, Tenchi's father Nobuyuki and grandfather Katsuhito come to the decision that it may be time for Tenchi to learn even more about his past and his Jurian heritage. And the arrival of a couple of new female residents to the Masaki household threatens to upset the balance and inflame the rivalry over Tenchi's already decidedly divided affection.

This was an incredibly random OVA. The first episode was almost entirely recap, the rest had like 3 entirely different plots. The last one, episode 6, as the expression goes, came out of left field. I was wondering if I had missed several episodes, but I double checked and I had not. This is the most convoluted episode I have seen in all of the Tenchi series. I was not sure what was going on, it was like they were starting a new Tenchi series in the last episode, which they concluded by the end of the episode.

Animation: This is an OVA so it does have great CG, though it was nonetheless not the most fluid anime I have seen in awhile

Sound: The music tends to fit the series pretty well, though I have never been a huge fan of the music. It is still a good fit.

Story: I liked the Mihoshi story they had with her brother, but other than that, the plot was an utter failure in my mind, especially episode 6.

Character: They introduced a new character to the OVA, who I believe was in the Universe series, and the sister, who they proceed to ignore for episodes 3-6. The bad guy was a joke, I mean, where did he come from, that was the lamest background I have seen in awhile

Value: No value at all, I will not rewatch this OVA, and I have awhile before OVA 4 comes out, probably a good 5 or 6 years.

Enjoyment: The new characters added to the main cast were nice, although I am not sure if all will stay (Kione I think is the girl's name)

Overall, the only people who should watch this are advent Tenchi fans, but be ready for a disappointment in the last episode.
