This is definitely only for fans. Not only food themed anime fans, but also fans of old anime. Watching this anime, makes me feel nostalgic, from voices to drawing style.
For people that do not understand Japanese, you need to also have a tolerance for HKDVD subtitles. There will be many times that will make little to no sense, but if you see it from a humorous angle, along with mentally guessing what they wanted to say, it will be fine.
For people that came here from Shokugeni no Soma, expecting something that is like it, I suggest you turn around and leave. For people that love old anime; enjoy.

This is a story about a young boy who is superb at cooking. He opens a restaurant business, and becomes really famous. In his quest for fame, he participates in a cooking competition. Whenever the jurors taste his food, their reactions invoke images of dragons, volcanoes, hurricanes, tidal waves, and other natural phenomena. His food isn't just good... it's divine.
