Anime: Piyoko ni Omakase pyo!

Splendid![br][br]A nice franchise exploiter, that is marginally better than the franchise it originally exploited in that it actually makes some sense. Not that its an epic story or anything of that camber, but its actually a story driven series as opposed to what was there before.[br][br]And it is gorgeous, but only when they want it to be. Whensoever serious art is called for, it is there in great spadeloads. Pyoko and associated lasses get lots of graphic loving. Even the men get some art on occasion, but its a bit more overexaggerated. The interim between these moments of lucidity are less concise; in that the shorthand of decomposing blobs is used on a regular basis.[br][br]Sound monketry is a bit meh. Since this offering heavily recycles the previous body of work which was a bit tedious, and adds a few bland extras. Voice acting is actually improved; generally because the pace of the story is significantly less juvenile and as such screams a whole lot less.[br][br]The fact that there is actually a sustained story counts much for this offering; the fact that it is crap undermines the effort. Progression and development do actually happen (certainly because of the extended lengths) and despite the tonnes of generic character exploitation, its marginally enjoyable.[br][br]Character development etc happens for most of the franchise, specifically Pyoko & immediates. This is a good thing in that they now have (semi-interesting) reasons to exist; whereas they were previously cardboard cutouts. [br][br]Better than the origination in most elements, but thats nothing special. Thanks to the extended length, I dont see multiple commitments happening to this fairly pleasant series, but its a good time waster to enjoy in the company of short people.[br][br]In summation; [br]1. more of the same[br]2. slightly better[br]3. dont waste your time on it for no reason.[br]
