The College of Arts and Sciences is Ohio State’s largest college and home to approximately 19,000 students across 80+ undergraduate majors, 50+ graduate programs, and 100+ minors and certificates. Companies naturally seek the skills and talent needed for the organization and our students are prepared to work in a diverse set of fields such as business, healthcare and wellness, science and technology, data analytics, consumer behavior, consulting, sales, non-profits, visual, written, and performing arts, marketing and advertising, journalism, public policy and social services. 

The student quality is outstanding: 

  • For Ohio State’s autumn 2022 first-year class, 98% graduated in the top 25% of their high school class with an average ACT score of 28.9.   
  • The percentage of first-year students returning for their sophomore year is 94%, compared to a nationwide retention rate of 72% and average retention rate of 69% among colleges and universities in Ohio. 
  • Ohio State’s graduation rate is 72.3% within 4 years and 88.1% within six years of enrolling.
