- Investing in our teachers, healthcare workers, and first responders is vital to building a strong, resilient society. These professionals shape the future, protect our health, and safeguard us in crises. Ensuring they receive fair wages, adequate resources, and mental health support is key to improving their well-being and job performance. Better funding for education, healthcare infrastructure, and first responder training strengthens our communities and addresses broader social issues like inequality. Prioritizing their needs ensures a safer, healthier, and more educated society that benefits everyone.
- Fighting for reproductive freedom and civil liberties is essential to ensuring that everyone has the right to make personal decisions about their bodies and their lives. This means safeguarding access to abortion, contraception, and comprehensive healthcare, while protecting the rights of marginalized communities. Defending these freedoms requires pushing back against efforts to limit bodily autonomy and civil rights, and advocating for policies that promote equality, privacy, and justice for all. True freedom means having the ability to make choices without fear of discrimination or government interference.
- Delivering for my community means prioritizing investments, creating job opportunities, and lowering costs for residents. Bringing state dollars back to my community is essential for funding vital services, improving infrastructure, and creating opportunities that benefit all residents. Additionally, advocating for policies that lower the cost of living—such as affordable housing, energy efficiency programs, and access to quality healthcare—ensures that every resident can thrive. Together, these efforts create a stronger, more vibrant community where everyone can succeed.
Education - Serve on House Higher Ed committee
Healthcare
Veterans Affairs - Serve on House Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee
Public Utilities - Serve on House Public Utilities Committee
The most important qualities for an elected official are integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to public service.
Having served in the statehouse for 6 years, I understand the vital role that values play in effective governance. My experience has shaped my commitment to these principles:
Integrity: Upholding ethical standards has been my guiding principle. I prioritize honesty and transparency in all interactions with constituents, knowing that building trust is essential for a thriving democracy.
Communication Skills: In my time at the statehouse, I’ve learned the importance of clear communication. I actively listen to the concerns of our diverse communities and work to convey my ideas in a way that fosters collaboration and understanding.
Leadership: Effective leadership is about inspiring and motivating others. My role has allowed me to guide teams toward common goals, focusing on the needs of our community and fostering an environment of support.
Problem-Solving Ability: Navigating complex issues in the statehouse has equipped me with the skills to analyze challenges and develop strategic solutions that adapt to our community’s evolving needs.
Accountability: I believe in taking responsibility for my decisions and actions. Transparency in the decision-making process is crucial to reinforcing public confidence in my leadership.
Vision: My time in the statehouse has solidified my long-term vision for our community, prioritizing initiatives that matter most to residents and mobilizing support for impactful projects.
Collaboration: I value teamwork and have worked effectively with fellow officials, stakeholders, and community members. This collaboration ensures diverse perspectives are heard, leading to comprehensive solutions.
Resilience: Challenges are part of the journey, and I am committed to navigating setbacks with determination, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure progress for our community.
These values, forged through my experience, are the foundation of my commitment to serve you and create a meaningful impact in our lives together.
The core responsibilities of a legislator include advocating for constituents' needs, advancing legislation that strengthens communities, and ensuring accountability and efficiency in state government.
Strong relationships help bridge political divides, making it easier to negotiate, compromise, and pass meaningful legislation that benefits all constituents.
During my 6 years at the Statehouse, relationship building played a key part in my success in introducing and sponsoring bipartisan legislation.

I believe that financial transparency and government accountability are fundamental to a functioning democracy.
Voters deserve to know how their tax dollars are being spent, and transparent financial practices help build trust between government and constituents.
Issues like gerrymandering, as highlighted in Issue 1, emphasize the need for fair representation and accountability in government. When districts are drawn to favor specific parties, it undermines the democratic process and dilutes the power of voters.
By advocating for reforms that promote fair districting and ensuring transparency in government finances, we can create a more accountable system that serves all citizens equitably.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
