Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbent Kevin Kelly was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Jason C. Buckel was unopposed in the Republican primary. Buckel defeated Kelly in the general election.[2][3][4]

Noteworthy events
DUI arrest (2024)
On June 13, 2024, Del. Buckel was arrested for driving under the influence.[5]
Del. Buckel is also accused of driving with a suspended license, failure to display a registration card, and negligent driving that endangered property, life, and person. Del. Buckel’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 24, 2024 at Allegany County District Court. [6]
