Karen Simpson

Karen Simpson (Democratic Party) is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 3. She assumed office on January 11, 2023. Her current term ends on January 13, 2027.

Biography

Karen Simpson was born in Maryland, and lives in Frederick. Simpson earned a B.S. in psychology from Radford University and an M.A. in community counseling from Towson State University. She also became a certified professional of talent development. Her career experience includes working as the Maryland State Retirement Agency education and training manager, for Child Protective Services, as a deputy director of campaign finance, and as a small business owner. In 2005, Simpson became a member of Teamsters 355.^[1]
