Jolene Ivey
Jolene Ivey (b. July 30, 1961) is a former Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 47. She was first elected to the chamber in 2006.
Ivey was a Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Maryland in 2014. Her running-mate, incumbent state attorney general Doug Gansler, announced that he had chosen Ivey to share the 2014 election ticket with on October 14, 2014. Gansler lost in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014.[1]
Biography
Ivey's professional experience includes working as the Director of Media Relations for the Community Teachers Institute, a freelance writer, Co-Founder/President of Mocha Moms, Incorporated, Press Secretary for U.S. Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin, Writer/Producer for WMAR-TV and Co-Host of "Say Baltimore."

On November 7, 2006, Jolene Ivey ran for District 47 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the first of three seats, beating Victor Ramirez and Doyle Niemann.[3]
