|Matt Fitterer is a problem solver. Working in healthcare management requires an understanding of complex regulations, out of the box thinking, and a focus on the big picture – skills that he puts to use for Tennessee.
Currently a twice elected Spring Hill, TN Alderman, Matt focuses on continuing infrastructure improvements, creating additional employment opportunities, and maintaining the fiscal responsibility that has led to the City of Spring Hill’s current budget surplus.
As a State Representative, Matt's conservative Tennessee values, integrity, common sense, and proven work ethic are what District 92 needs at this time.
- Tennessee District 92 needs a leader with integrity and high ethical standards.
- Results matter, Matt can be counted on to deliver.
- Elected officials must maintain open communication with everyone they represent.
Reject federal and state government overreach and fight for local control.
Protect life, promote adoption, and improve foster care.
Support local governments and our business communities by reducing regulations, eliminating bureaucracy, and removing barriers.
Proper funding of education increasing and improving our investment into our children.
Safeguard our Constitutional rights advocating for responsible gun ownership and defending religious freedoms and personal liberties.
Conserve natural and historical sites, battlefields, and parks.
Reinforce safe and secure elections throughout Tennessee.
Find solutions to transportation and infrastructure demands. Expanding roadways to improve safety and creating economic opportunities.
Bolster patient centered initiatives and personal responsibility for healthcare enhancing accessibility and affordability of care.
Keep Tennessee financially strong encouraging additional capital investments and economic opportunity for all.
Improve rural access to broadband, healthcare, education and vocational training opportunities.
Eliminate the Professional Privilege Tax in Tennessee and further reduce the Franchise and Excise Tax.
Advance additional safety and mental health resources for our first responders, law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and utility workers.
Provide support for our farmers, ranchers and agricultural industry.
Integrity. Any accomplishments that an elected official might have are tainted if not done with integrity. Elected officials, anyone in a leadership position should be held to a higher ethical standard.
I'm a problem solver. I stay focused on finding solutions, building consensus, communicating effectively, delivering results and leading with integrity.
When I was 13, I sold programs at the World's Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona. Job lasted a week until the rodeo left town.
I love baseball and outside the box thinking. Moneyball by Michael Lewis has changed the way the game is played and an extremely interesting read.
The governor is the executive branch of state government, and the legislature is the legislative branch. Certainly the two entities should work together to advance shared goals and visions, but neither branch reports to or controls the other.
There are times where there will be differences in opinion on what's best for Tennessee, and that's okay. The General Assembly and Governor should work together to advance common interests, and be respectful of the other when differences arise.
Legislators need to bring problem solving skills, critical thinking, an ability to view the big picture, great communication, an ability to lead teams and form consensus to our state government. I don't think it's relevant if those skills are developed from past government experience or outside of government.
Absolutely. No bill has ever passed by a 1-0 vote. If a legislator cannot work with others and help build consensus they will be ineffective and unable to deliver for their district.
My background is in healthcare, finance and local government. I believe my experiences would add the most value to Health, Ways & Means and/or Local Government and any of their subcommittees.
