Campaign website
Cool's campaign website stated the following:
“ |
Equal Access to Polls Election dates and locations of polls need to be widely publicized, and absentee ballot request forms need to be readily available to those who wish to vote by mail. We also need to ensure that those lacking appropriate IDs for voting are aware of such requirements and the means of obtaining them.
Despite cries to the contrary there is no evidence of widespread manipulation of the election process in the last election. We need to be be sure local auditors and election officials remain vigilant to monitor access to any voting equipment and to guard against groups who may want to change the system for political gain.
Local media are the chief source of information for voters and we need to ensure that the media are fully informed on the election process and that they have open access to election officials and results.[9] |
