Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down,
but a good word cheers it up.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

“This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they? So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you; I will help you;
I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding;
think about Him in all your ways,
and He will guide you on the right paths.

For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.

I sought the Lord, and He answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

When I am afraid,
I will trust in You.

Cast your burden on the Lord,
and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

You will keep the mind that is dependent on You
in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in You.

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.

For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His flesh,

“Stop your fighting—and know that I am God,
exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”

When I am filled with cares,
Your comfort brings me joy.

And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful.

For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble;
He saved them from their distress.
He brought them out of darkness and gloom
and broke their chains apart.

for His faithful love
and His wonderful works for all humanity.

Now this is what the Lord says—
the One who created you, Jacob,
and the One who formed you, Israel—
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

But whoever listens to me will live securely
and be free from the fear of danger.”

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.

The one who lives under the protection of the Most High
dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

The fear of man is a snare,
but the one who trusts in the Lord is protected.

Davidic.The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom should I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom should I be afraid?

A song of ascents.I lift my eyes toward the mountains.
Where will my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.

in God I trust; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?

For I, Yahweh your God,
hold your right hand
and say to you: Do not fear,
I will help you.

Now this is what the Lord says—
the One who created you, Jacob,
and the One who formed you, Israel—
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;

when you pass through the waters,

they will not overwhelm you.
You will not be scorched
when you walk through the fire,
and the flame will not burn you.

and honored, and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations instead of your life.

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or forsake you. “Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their fathers to give them as an inheritance. Above all, be strong and very courageous to carefully observe the whole instruction My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go.

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Because he is lovingly devoted to Me,
I will deliver him;
I will protect him because he knows My name.
When he calls out to Me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble.
I will rescue him and give him honor.
I will satisfy him with a long life
and show him My salvation.

Can any of you add a cubit to his height by worrying? If then you’re not able to do even a little thing, why worry about the rest?

Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

but those who trust in the Lord
will renew their strength;
they will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary;
they will walk and not faint.

There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love.

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.
