13 Bible Verses about Building Each Other Up

Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Let us therefore pursue what makes for peace and for mutual edification.

But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit;

to equip the saints for the work of service, for the building up of the body of Christ;

Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building others up according to the need of the moment, that it may impart grace to those who hear.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

from whom the whole body, being joined and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each part, causes the growth of the body and builds itself up in love.

and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

Now as to the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," then destruction will come upon them suddenly as labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.read more.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But, since we belong to the day, let us be sober, and put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with him.

What is the outcome then, brethren? When you come together, each one has a hymn, or a teaching, or a revelation, or a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

So it is with you; since you are eager for spiritual gifts, strive to excel in building up the church.

But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into him, who is the head, into Christ,
