Then Jesus cried out, as he taught in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come on my own, but he who sent me is true, and him you do not know.
Certainly not! Let God be true, though every man a liar. As it is written: "That you may be justified in your words and prevail when you are judged."
For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

But we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth,
Let us, therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into him, who is the head, into Christ,
Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, and not fond of sordid gain;
For the overseer must be blameless as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not violent, not fond of sordid gain,
Show yourself in all respects an example of good deeds, and in your teaching show integrity, seriousness, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, and you care for no man; for you do not regard the position of men.
When they came, they said to him, "Teacher, we know that you are true, and care about no man; for you do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?
For our boast is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with holiness and godly sincerity, not in worldly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and still more toward you.
For we are not, like so many, peddling the word of God; but as men of sincerity, as from God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.
But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
Jesus answered him, "If I have spoken wrongly, bear witness to the wrong; but if I have spoken rightly, why do you strike me?"
