And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and they who are with him are valiant men.

For it increases. You hunt me as a fierce lion: and again you show yourself awesome against me.

And so shall be the plague on the horse, on the mule, on the camel, and on the donkey, and on all the beasts that shall be in these tents, so shall this plague be.

And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

You shall also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

If a soul commits a trespass, and sins through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with your valuation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:

But if the man has no kinsman to make restitution for the trespass unto, let the restitution for the trespass be unto the LORD, even to the priest; besides the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

God brought them out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of a wild ox.

His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

Will the wild ox be willing to serve you, or abide by your crib?

And when he came to the den, he cried with a grieved voice unto Daniel: and the king spoke and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live forever. My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: because before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, have I done no wrong. Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of harm was found upon him, because he believed in his God. And the king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came at the bottom of the den.

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whosoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life.

They gaped on me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
