and if any wife has an unbelieving husband and he is pleased to live with her, let her not leave the husband. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the believing wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the brother; else were your children impure, but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving companion departs, let him depart; the brother or the sister is not bound in such cases; but God has called us to peace.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his life? Or what will a man give as an exchange for his life?
For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world and destroys himself, or loses his life?
But God said to him, Foolish man, this night they shall require your soul from you; and who then will have the goods which you have provided? So is every one that lays up treasures for himself and is not rich in God.

For those once enlightened and having tasted of the heavenly gift and been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and having tasted of the good word of God and the powers of the life to come, and having fallen away, it is impossible again to renew to a change of mind, they having crucified again and exposed to shame the Son of God.
