He that loveth his father or mother more than me, is not meet for me: and he that loveth his son or daughter more than me, is not meet for me.
Then shall the King say to them on his right hand, 'Come, ye blessed children of my father, inherit ye the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world. For I was a hungered, and ye gave me meat. I thirsted, and ye gave me drink. I was harborless, and ye lodged me. I was naked and ye clothed me. I was sick and ye visited me. Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord God is One Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.' This is the first commandment.
And the scribe said unto him, "Well master, thou hast said the truth, that there is one God, and that there is none but he. And to love him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the soul, and with all the strength. And to love a man's neighbor as himself, is a greater thing than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."

We love him, because he loved us first. If a man say, "I love God," and yet hate his brother, he is a liar. For how can he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we of him: that he which loveth God, should love his brother also.
All that believe that Jesus is Christ, are born of God. And all that loveth him which begat, loveth him also which was begotten of him. In this we know that we love the sons of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous.
And this is the love, that we should walk after his commandments. This commandment is, that as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
and keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto eternal life.
Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, for thou hast left thy first love.
