Now on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?" He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, my time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.'" So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.

Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, "Where do you want us to go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?" And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him. And wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says, where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?'read more.
He will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready; make preparations for us there." So the disciples set out and went to the city, and found it just as he had told them; and they prepared the Passover.

So he sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat." They said to him, "Where do you want us to prepare it?" He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him into the house which he enters.read more.
And say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says to you: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' He will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready." So they went, and found it just as he had told them; and they prepared the Passover.

Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,

The women who had come with him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid.

Therefore, because it was the day of Preparation, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, as the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover, about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!"

The next day, the one after the day of Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered to Pilate

But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have prepared?'

Will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare my supper, and gird yourself and serve me, till I eat and drink; and afterward you shall eat and drink'?

Again, he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding.'"

And he became hungry and was desiring something to eat; but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance

Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

And at the time of the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come, for all is now ready.'
