'Contention' in the Bible
A man who is hot-tempered will stir up strife, but he who is slow [to] {anger}, he will calm contention.
Better to dwell on the corner of a roof than [to] share a house with a woman of contention.
Better to live upon the corner of a roof than [with] a woman of contention and [in a] shared house.
Dripping constantly on a day of heavy rain and a woman of contention are alike.
Woe to me, my mother, that you gave birth to me, a man of contention and quarreling {to the whole land}. I have not lent out and {I have not borrowed}. All of them [are] cursing me.
Yet, let no one contend, and let no one accuse, for with you, O priest, [is my] contention.
Why do you cause me to see evil [while] you look at trouble? Destruction and violence happen before me; contention and strife arise.
