'Holds' in the Bible
The one who is at ease holds calamity in contemptand thinks it is prepared for those whose feet are slipping.
Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed,because the Lord holds his hand.
The wise will inherit honor,but He holds up fools to dishonor.
A fool gives full vent to his anger,but a wise man holds it in check.
This is what the Lord God says:You will drink your sister’s cup,which is deep and wide.You will be an object of ridicule and scorn,for it holds so much.
Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven.
