This workshop is part of the Graphics Lab, a project aimed at picture retouching to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. This specific page is the requests page for the Illustration Workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be created or improved. The standard format for making a request is shown below, along with general advice, and should be followed.

I'm going to have to admit defeat on this one. Short of attempting to redraw all the sketch, I can't recolour without it looking horrible. The problem (for me) is I can't remove enough of the jpeg artifact to take away the white background. If I could do that, I could colour on the layer deep to the sketch. @Paranaja: If one changes both colors and patterns the image will change so much that it may not be possible to really see what it should be. I have three different drafts here.

@Goran tek-en: What I mean with patterns is not that the illustration should be covered in texture, but that different areas of the illustration should have different colours. In your previous sketch, you had removed the colours. What you could do now is to colour the image, similar to what the original author did based on a pencil illustration, but with different colours in different places. --Paranaja (talk) 17:22, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Paranaja: To me what you show here this is the same as the other heads, especially the one down to the right. To my understanding it doesn't correlate to what you have described before, I think that's why both Ian Furst and I did something totally different. Bicycle and car together

To illustrate the use of the instrumental case in the Serbian language, I need an SVG illustration showing a person riding a bicycle, and next to it, the same person riding a car with the same bicycle affixed to the roof. Any that is large enough to fit a bicycle on the roof, for example File:VW Golf 2 profile drawing.svg. For an example of how the fitting looks like, see [2]. Hello friends. I have an activ on Azeribaijani Viкipedia. At the moment, I am rewriting articles about government agencies included in the Government of Azerbaijan. But there are some problems with logos. Not all logos are on Commons. Most of the logos are only on the websites of government agencies. Internet logos are very poor quality. Therefore, I decided to apply to you for the development of logos of government agencies. The Government consists of 30 government agencies. Preparing their logos Who can help me ? :-) I want to show you an example. You have to maкe a logo on this site. Logo. The logo quality is excellent. Could it be simply increased in size ? @Patriccck: It is generally prefered that logos have transparent backgrounds as they display well on more pages. The logo is also in SVG format, which is scalabale, easier to edit, and preferred over PNG for logos. The MediaWiki software automatically generates PNG thumbnails for the images that are linked below the image on the file description page.   1. Scale: I don't know precisely how big each piece is, so the draft I've created is not accurate at all with respect to scale. I would need to know the length of each red line shown here to get the scale roughly correct.
  2. Arrangement: there might be a better way to lay the pieces out than what I've come up with, especially bearing in mind that it should look good for comparison beside the Vendel XIV helmet. There could also be other additions, like labeling the pieces.

It's an interesting idea, Brandt Luke Zorn, and there's certainly some value in seeing the images placed side by side; thanks for putting that together. Ultimately, I think that a free image showing a reconstruction would be ideal, as there's only so much fragments can show (this photo is an extreme example). As long as someone is willing and able to put an illustration together—and I always leave here impressed!—then I think the best option is to have a depiction of what the helmet may have looked like when whole. --Usernameunique (talk) 08:17, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Pbrks: Thanks for the pointer regarding pinging. I wasn't aware of that detail. the icon looks good, but I'll admit I was hoping for a version that would maintain the proportions. That is, not so much geometrically accurate halves being pulled apart as the crack being kind of overlaid onto the circle, or the original crack, but reaching all the way to the bottom (although maybe wider as here)? It doesn't really matter if this causes the central dot to be lost (which it kinda is when this version is shrunk down anyway), given what the icon is intended for.
