Abstract: In the present paper, we initiate a multi attribute group decision making problems in the presence of multi attribute and multi decision in decision making with preferences. Then resolving the problem, using two different approximation strategies, that is, seeking common reserving difference and seeking common rejecting difference, four kinds of dominance based multi-granulation rough sets are presented, namely, dominance based optimistic multi-granulation rough sets and dominance based pessimistic multi-granulation rough sets and their applications in solving a multi agent conflict analysis decision problem. The proposed method addresses the limitations of the Pawlak model and Sun’s conflict analysis model and thus…improve these models. Finally, the results on labor management negotiation problems show that the proposed algorithms are more effective and efficient for feasible consensus strategy when compared with Sun’s technique.

Abstract: Conflicts and disagreements are associated with issues related to living beings in particular with humans. Certain steps towards resolving these issues help to minimize conflict. Very few researchers paid their attention towards this important topic to develop some techniques which are based on mathematical methods. Rough set theory as a new and powerful mathematical tool to handle uncertainty in decision making problems was used to study conflict analysis and decision making. Afterwards the Pawlak conflict analysis model was established. Subsequently Deja put forward some questions which are not answered by Pawlak conflict analysis model. In the present paper firstly, we…introduce the notions of soft preference relation and soft dominance relation and analyzed the Middle East conflict. Secondly, we answered the questions posed by Deja. Thirdly, two new techniques of reduction of parameters/attributes are introduced and applied to the Middle East conflict.

Abstract: The q -rung orthopair fuzzy sets accommodate more uncertainties than the Pythagorean fuzzy sets and hence their applications are much extensive. Under the q -rung orthopair fuzzy set, the objective of this paper is to develop new types of q -rung orthopair fuzzy lower and upper approximations by applying the tolerance degree on the similarity between two objects. After employing tolerance degree based q -rung orthopair fuzzy rough set approach to it any times, we can get only the six different sets at most. That is to say, every rough set in a universe can be approximated by only six…sets, where the lower and upper approximations of each set in the six sets are still lying among these six sets. The relationships among these six sets are established. Furthermore, we propose tolerance degree based multi granulation optimistic/pessimistic q -rung orthopair fuzzy rough sets and investigate some of their properties. Another main contribution of this paper is to disclose the ideas of different kinds of approximations called approximate precision, rough degree, approximate quality and their mutual relationship. Finally a technique is devloped to rank the alternatives in a q -rung orthopair fuzzy information system based on similarity relation. We find that the proposed method/technique is more efficient when compared with other existing techniques.

Abstract: The present paper aims to initiate the study of multi attribute group decision making in the presence of incomplete multi attribute and incomplete multi decision while making a decision with preferences in an incomplete information system. The concept of soft preference relation and soft dominance relation corresponding to decision attribute in incomplete multi criteria and incomplete multi decision information system is also presented. The discernibility matrix and discernibility function approach is proposed for decision attribute reduction to find all the reducts in an incomplete information system. A new technique of ranking the feasible alternative is proposed. Using the idea of…soft dominance based rough sets, several uncertainty measures, such as approximate precision, rough degree, approximate quality and their mutual relationships are discussed in an incomplete information system. Finally the validity of these concepts are proved by applying these in solving multi-agent conflict analysis problems.

Finally the validity of these concepts are proved by constructing two algorithms and applying them in solving incomplete multi-agent conflict analysis problem.

Abstract: The notions of fuzzy upward β -covering, the fuzzy upward β -neighborhood, upward β -neighborhood and fuzzy complement β -neighborhood are introduced and several related properties are studied. Furthermore, multigranulation optimistic/pessimistic fuzzy rough sets based on fuzzy upward β -covering are initiated and their fundamental properties are investigated. We also find the upward β -neighborhood in the fuzzy upward covering approximation space and present the optimistic/pessimistic multigranulation rough sets to further enrich the presented notions. The medicine selection via fuzzy upward β -covering rough sets in medical diagnosis is another main contribution of the present work. It is also explored…that which medicine can be prescribed for which particular symtom(s) and which disease.

Abstract: The present study analyses the dissipative influence into an unsteady electrically conducting fluid flow embedded in a pervious medium over a shrinkable sheet. The behavior of thermal radiation and chemical reactions are also contemplated. The governing partial differential equations are reformed to ordinary differential equations by operating similarity transformations. The numerical outcomes for the arising non-linear boundary value problem are determined by implementing the Successive linearization method (SLM) via Matlab software. The velocity, temperature, and concentration magnitudes for distant values of the governing parametric quantities are conferred, and their conduct is debated via graphical curves. The surface drag coefficient increases,…whereas the local Nusselt number and Sherwood number decreases for enhancing unsteadiness parameter across suction parameter. Moreover, the magnetic and suction parameters accelerate velocity magnitudes while by raising porosity parameter, velocity decelerates. Larger numeric of thermal radiation parameter and Eckert number accelerates the temperature profile while by enhancing Prandtl number it decelerates. Schmidt number and chemical reaction parameters slowdowns the concentration distribution, and the chemical reaction parameter influences on the point of chemical reaction that benefits the interface mass transfer. It is expected that the current achieved results will furnish fruitful knowledge in industrious utilities.

Abstract: Z-soft rough covering models introduced by zhan et al are important generalizations of classical rough set theory to deal with more complex problems of real world. So far, the existing studies mainly focus on constructing various forms of approximation operators and their related properties by means of neighborhoods. In this paper, we introduce different kinds of uncertainty measures related to Z-soft rough covering sets and discuss their limitations. An axiomatic definition of knowledge granulation for soft covering approximations space is introduced. Some main theoretical results are obtained and investigated with the help of examples. Finally, a fully developed example describing…the application of the proposed theory in multicriteria decision making is constructed.

Abstract: The extension of rough set model is a crucial and vast research direction in rough set theory. Meanwhile decision making can be considered as a mental process in which human beings make a choice among several alternatives. However, with the increasing complexity of real decision making problems, the decision makers frequently face the challenge of characterizing their preferences in an uncertain context. In the present paper, we initiate a multi attribute group decision making problem in the presence of multi attribute and multi decision in decision making with preferences. We further present the concept of soft preference relation and soft…dominance relation corresponding to decision attribute in the multi criteria and multi decision information system. Further we present the idea of variable precision multi decision soft dominance based rough set model and their applications in solving a multi agent conflict analysis decision problem. The proposed method addresses the limitations of the Pawlak’s model and Sun’s conflict analysis model and thus improve these models. Finally, the results on labor management negotiation problems show that the proposed algorithms are more effective and efficient for feasible consensus strategy when compared with other techniques.

Abstract: Conflict analysis plays a prominent role in negotiation during contract-management process in government and industry. The main problem to be solved is how to model conflict situation when there is uncertainty about agreement, disagreement and neutrality among agents in a conflict situation. This paper aims to introduce the novel concepts of the hybridized structures called soft preference relation and soft dominance relation. Further we initiate the approach to handle the labor-management negotiation conflict situation using soft preference and soft dominance relations. Another novelty of the proposed techniques is to classify exactly the agreement, disagreement and neutrality among all the agents…in a conflict situation. In addition the proposed techniques can be applied to find the character of all the agents in the conflict situation when compared with other existing techniques.
