Post-War Haven City map, based on Jak 2, 3, and X

Something that I’ve been working on lately, partly because of boredom, partly because it’s easy and fun to make maps.

I’m taking a bit of a break from working on it for now but do intend to detail the areas below and outside the city eventually.

Quick breakdown of each sector, from left-right top-bottom:

Mar Memorial Stadium: Fully rebuilt after the war, aside from some revisions to the architecture it is a perfect replica of the original. The originally unused Northern entrance now connects it to the New Haven district.

New Haven District: Virtually unchanged as it only came under brief attacks during the later stages of the war. There are security gates connecting it to the Pumping Station and Dead Town.

Dead Town Reconstruction: Began only very recently, the efforts to rebuild the city section known as “Dead Town” are still well underway. No new name has yet been decided for the city section once complete.

Northwest Residential: Unaffectionately referred to by its residents as the “New Slums” or “Ruins District” the buildings in this city section were assembled haphazardly from the ruins of the Palace. An elevator at its Northern end connects it to the Forgotten Eco Mine.

Main Town District: Having been almost entirely destroyed when the Palace fell on top of it, few parts of the Main Town District resemble the previous layout. The section now also sits atop an underground city section belonging to the city’s Lurker population, giving the rebuilt Main Town the nickname of “Cloud District”

Freedom League Fortress: Though much of Haven’s populace still feel some sense of community and heritage with the “Krimzon Guard”, Ashelin Praxis has kept the city guard under the new FL banner in order to differentiate her rule from her father’s old regime.

North Industrial Sector: A more compact section than the rest of the Industrial Sector, it’s Northern end was built on top of the original Slums district, which was entirely destroyed during the later stages of the war. The buildings in the sector are used more for research than manufacturing.

Garden Sector: New innovations (and a noticeable population drop) have removed the necessity for the twin garden sectors that Haven City previously had, this single sector produces more than enough fruit and dairy for the entire city. Discussion is underway of expanding the sector further North in order to grow food purely for export.

City Hall: The new Haven City Hall is far less imposing than the original Palace once was and is built atop the Catacomb Rail entrance. Rumor has spread that researchers are working on strange new Precursor artifacts in labs below the City Hall, though this is yet unproven.

Bazaar District: Though the original East Bazaar suffered only cosmetic damage during the war, it was updated to accommodate the demands of the city while Metal Head infestation was still being cleared from the West Bazaar. The new section now features a waterway passage for vehicles lined with new shops and businesses.

South-Central Industrial Sector: The buildings in this sector, despite its lengthy KG Deathbot occupancy, were mostly unscathed after the war and have been returned to full functionality. The construction at the Southwest end has been completed and is now a production facility for new lines of passenger and military airships.

Southwest Residential: Also referred to as Southwest Main Town, this section was finished fairly recently as the Metal Head infestation was difficult to clear out and left little stable ground to build upon. The sector has a security gate leading to South Haven Forest.

Victory District: At the centre of this small circular district is a monument bearing the names of every citizen of Haven who gave their lives in the final war for the city, a large statue of Mar’s greatsword extending high into the air above it. The surrounding buildings are a mixture of museums, galleries, and stores that mainly serve as tourist traps.

Port District: Also often referred to as Southtown, the only major change to the Port is the Southern Security Wall, which has recently been opened to shipping and zoomer transit. A laser-gate stands where the original wall segments previously did, however, and all citizens require a passport in order to leave or return to the city.
