DoggieTimesTwo, I wanted to let you know that the nominator has withdrawn this GA nomination, so the review has been cancelled.
Please be sure to read my comments there—based on what you wrote, you don't appear to yet have gained the experience needed to be an effective GA reviewer. I'd like to suggest you try other things over the next few months before making any return to the GA space as a reviewer, and to find a mentor when you do. Thanks. Bad edit with OABOT
When you add links to references with OABOT, as you did to Hessy Levinsons Taft, please make sure that the links you add contain the information that was cited in the reference. You failed to do this in this edit, in which you changed a link that cited "Author biography from [paper]" to add a link to the paper that did not include the author biography. This confused a later editor, User:Pollymarie, into thinking that the reference did not include the information it was used as a reference for. It is not always true that freely linkable versions of publications are identical with the final published version, sometimes the differences are important, and you (not the tools you use) are responsible for checking that the links you add are still relevant despite their differences. You didn't do it in this case and it led to trouble down the road. Please be more careful in future. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:25, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Reliable sources
At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Martin Willock, you said that neither of the sources are reliable. This is incorrect, both meet the definition of reliable source as they're website where the content is properly peer reviewed before content is added. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:11, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of the peer-reviewed source, thank you for bringing that up. I have withdrawn my nomination. EpicPupper 18:27, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
Asia delsort
Hi! I dont think it is necessary to list articles relevant to a smaller location such as India to be listed under "Asia" unless the article is really relevant to Asia. This is in reference to two AFDs you just listed. Best! VV 17:48, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you, I wasn't aware of this before, I'll make sure to watch out in the future. EpicPupper 18:26, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, I did some further thinking on this, and I think that it is beneficial to add "Asia" to smaller locations, in order to better classify AFDs. If you have a specific concern on an AFD that I listed, please feel free to leave a message. Cheers, EpicPupper 23:14, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- hola! Im cool with any category being added as long as it is of value. I do know some admins did get annoyed with regular additions of wrong categories since they had to undo it. Just Curious
I'm curious to know how you justify this edit to Teahouse/Host start with this edit immediately afterwards to Teahouse/Host landing, when you've only made 206 mainspace edits?
I don't have a problem with you adding your name to the Teahouse Host list, but I can't follow the logic of those two edits. I have reverted the first one, as briefly explained in my edit summary. Best wishes, Nick Moyes (talk) 22:44, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm sorry, I didn't read the "mainspace" there. You're right, that is a mistake on my side. EpicPupper 23:12, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
April 2021
Hello! I noticed that you'd added redundant delsorts at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sushil Pokharel. So, I checked your contributions, and it appears it was not the only time. In fact, in the "GeneralAsia" section of Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Asia, almost all current transclusions are redundant and they were added by you. Same with Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/People. Are you going through AFDs just to add delsorts? You are obviously not qualified. Usedtobecool ☎️ 02:07, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Usedtobecool: Hi there, and thank you for leaving this note. I apologize for adding the redundant delsorts, I will make sure that my delsorts are relevant in the future. If needed, I would be open to having my delsorts reverted. As for going through AFDs just to add delsorts, I occasionally do it, as I think that there is no harm in doing it. EpicPupper 04:20, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
- It's helpful when done right, disruptive when not, and they are not easily reverted. If you intend to do it as a specialty, you need to be an expert. That means reading and following all instructions. Please click the bluelinks in the deletion notices you add to the AFDs and read the instructions at the top of the corresponding sorting lists. Go through those lists to see what kind of discussions are transcluded into them. For instance, if you go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/People, there's an instruction at the top that says not to list discussions to it if they can be listed in the profession-specific lists instead. And if you go through Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Asia, you will see that all the countries' lists are already transcluded there, so adding an India AFD to Asia would list it twice. And there is some harm, because the Asia list is already too long. Best, Usedtobecool ☎️ 07:17, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Vi-Jon Laboratories Wikipedia Page Removing Misleading Lawsuit Information
Hello -
I would like to edit the Vi-Jon Laboratories page to remove mention of the Proctor & Gamble lawsuit mention because it is misleading to readers in the way that it is stated.
Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 35.134.147.114 (talk) 19:54, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- @35.134.147.114: Hello there, it seems like you have a conflict of interest with the article. Please follow the steps at WP:ER if you would like to make an edit. Cheers, EpicPupper 20:02, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Please slow down somehow
Hi EpicPupper,
Thank you very much for your numerous helpful contributions. At the moment, I'm worried, though. In short succession:
- you restored unsourced content in a biography of a living person at Special:Diff/1019520240 (arguably undoing vandalism, and mentioned here just for the sake of completeness in case that wasn't the justification)
- you restored content which has been removed with undue weight concerns despite being required to gain consensus to do so (WP:ONUS) at Special:Diff/1019521131, wrongly claiming that the removal has been "unexplained" in your edit summary
- you restored content which has been described as "misleading" in Special:Diff/1019518926, 25 seconds after its removal (so clearly without attempting verification), with the sole justification of "unexplained content removal", which is factually incorrect
- you restored challenged content at Special:Diff/1019525784 without providing the required inline citation, and, as this happened within a minute, likely without any verification attempt. Your justification "unexplained content removal" does not seem to correctly describe the situation.
- you reverted good faith edits, correctly identified as such, in Special:Diff/1019518220, restoring incorrect content in response to someone's well-justified challenging of the information (WP:BURDEN), then reported the user at WP:AIV for "persistent vandalism" (Special:Permalink/1019527981). As you have correctly noticed, this is a BLP issue (Special:Diff/1019517334) – but looking at the revision history, the only person noticeably violating the biographies of living persons policy in this conflict was yourself.
- you made invisible, unnecessary changes in Special:Diff/1019529611, Special:Diff/1019528436 and Special:Diff/1019529330, which should be avoided per WP:COSMETICBOT ("While this policy applies only to bots, human editors may also wish to follow this guidance for the reasons given here, especially if making such changes on large scales")
- you added a short summary of "None" to an article in Special:Diff/1019528511, and it remains there with you continuing to make rapid edits elsewhere
- you seem to have edit warred at Special:Diff/1019530827 without actually disagreeing about the decision with the content in mind?
~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:22, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello ToBeFree,
- I will try to touch on all of my contributions listed above separately.
- I did not see that my revert would restore unsourced content, and did not pay proper attention to the consequences of my revert. In the future, I will pay attention to what my reverts will do, and what it will revert back to.
- I now see that the removal was not "unexplained". I was previously not aware of WP:ONUS, and have now self-reverted,
- After quick further analysis, I currently realize that the edit was justified (not unexplained content removal). This was a mistake on my end.
- I was not aware of WP:BURDEN and related policies at the time. I now understand that my revert was wrong. In the future, I will attempt to verify anything which I am considering reverting.
- I now understand my violation of WP:BLP and how the user provided a well-justified explanation. As explained in my AIV comment, I recognize this mistake. My revert has now been undone by another administrator.
- I have now read WP:COSMETICBOT and understand the policy now. I was previously using WP:AutoEd for minor changes. Now, I have a bit of a question: Is it appropriate to make minor formatting edits on top of other more significant edits, such as adding a short description, wikilinks, etc.? Examples of what I am talking about are at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Library_of_Congress&type=revision&diff=1019552939&oldid=1019420683&diffmode=source and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Microsoft_GIF_Animator&diff=prev&oldid=1019548138.
- I added the short summary per WP:SDNONE, is there some other policy that I do not know of relating to this?
- Looking at this diff (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bliss_(The_Powerpuff_Girls)&type=revision&diff=1019530752&oldid=1019530688&diffmode=source), I now see that the content removal was justified. I agree that I have wrongly edit warred.
In general, based on your comments, I will take a short wikibreak to read multiple Wikipedia policies, starting from the 5 pillars and including the ones mentioned in your message. Thank you for bringing these concerns up with me, I believe that I have learned much from this experience. I notice that much of my mistakes are in attempted vandalism fighting. Because of this, I plan to enroll in the WP:CVUA to learn the ropes of vandalism fighting. Thanks, EpicPupper 01:14, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- No worries, EpicPupper, and thank you very much for the detailed explanations. WP:BURDEN can be tricky when dealing with vandalism, as interpreting malicious removals as "challenging" puts vandals in a comfortable position and needs to be avoided too. Over time, you'll find a good balance between reverting vandalism and thoroughly verifying restored content. Regarding WP:COSMETICBOT, yes, that's correct and a perfectly fine solution ("Such changes should not usually be done on their own, but may be allowed in an edit that also includes a substantive change.").
- And sorry, I wasn't aware of the explanation at Wikipedia:Short_description#None! It needs to be taken with a grain of salt ("This is an information page. It is not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines [...]") but the justification, tracking category removal, seems legitimate to me. Adding "None" in a specific article was probably fine, but I wouldn't do so in masses. That would quickly lead to a lot of raised eyebrows.
- Regarding the edit war, making a single revert is usually fine, and WP:ATD-R is on your side. The specific edit just looked strange to me. :)
- Don't worry too much about all this; enrolling in WP:CVUA is an excellent idea and will cover all of these concerns. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:31, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Explanation for content removal on the Viktor Perelman page
Hello! Thank you for your feedback. I am the author of this article and I am editing this article based on critique given by Onel5969, a fellow editor, who recommended removing all or most of the essays written by Viktor Perelman from the article based on Wikipedia's established protocol. Please let me know how to proceed since you reinstated the deleted essays. I also noticed you reversed all my edits and I am not sure why. Please let me know what is going on as soon as you possibly can. Thank you very much!

Undid your accepted edit
Hi EpicPupper, I undid an edit you accepted in Pending Changes. Per WP:DOYCITE all additions to the days of the year pages require a direct citation supporting it; blue links are not sufficient for this. I don't know if you are aware of the specific needs that the DOY pages require, so I figured I'd write you a message rather than you just seeing a reversion without explanation. Best, Jip Orlando (talk) 18:53, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Rivendell
On 12 May 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Rivendell, which you recently nominated. The fact was ... that in 1968, the inhabitants of a commune in Zealand, Denmark, named themselves after the valley Rivendell from J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional world of Middle-earth? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rivendell. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Rivendell), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

You made this change ([1]) twice to the page, but many of them are clearly wrong (changing titles with contractions, changing direct links with single brackets to double brackets, linking stuff like "[B]ecause" in caps-modified quotations). The third round of the 2021 WikiCup has now come to an end. Each of the sixteen contestants who made it into the fourth round had at least 294 points, and our top six scorers all had over 600 points. They were:

- Epicgenius, a New York specialist, with 1083 points from 2 featured article reviews, 18 good articles, 30 DYKs and plenty of bonus points.
- Bloom6132, with 869 points from 11 DYKs, all with bonus points, and 54 "In the news" items, mostly covering people who had recently died.
- Gog the Mild, with 817 points from 3 featured articles on historic battles in Europe, 5 featured article reviews and 3 good articles.
- Hog Farm, with 659 points from 2 featured articles and 2 good articles on American Civil War battles, 18 featured article reviews, 2 good articles, 6 good article reviews and 4 DYKs.
- BennyOnTheLoose, a snooker specialist and new to the Cup, with 647 points from a featured article, 2 featured article reviews, 6 good articles, 6 good article reviews and 3 DYKs.
In round three, contestants achieved 19 featured articles, 7 featured lists, 106 featured article reviews, 72 good articles, 1 good topic, 62 good article reviews, 165 DYKs and 96 ITN items. We enter the fourth round with scores reset to zero; any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Please also remember that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them (one contestant in round 3 lost out because of this). When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email.
