Reference errors on 28 June
Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the Willie Johnston page, your edit caused a redundant parameter error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:23, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
Hugh Curran
Why did you remove my "Historical in Scandinavia" part. The source is good enough, ISBN and everything. The live broadcastings winter Saturdays began 1969 in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. And in the first ever game did Curran score the only and for Wolves winning goal. This IS historical in Scandinavia - and presumably an interesting matter in England & Wales as well. Was the English bad, I don't understand your comment. Boeing720 (talk) 15:30, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- I left a comment at my talk-page. I was obviously too trigger-happy with my complaining. Sorry. Boeing720 (talk) 17:36, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

Why did you revert that edit? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:204:C703:3B40:E05D:D5B4:C80E:B1BE (talk) 06:06, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
The edit was incorrect and a reasonable critique of the Wee Blue Book with sourced evidence. As the page is supposed to be balanced it is only correct that it recognises the body of critics that the book has. If there is anything factually inaccurate can you point it out? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:B00A:6600:A537:EB86:86D9:A906 (talk) 15:17, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for starting work on the list. I see you removed Junior Agogo saying he was already in the category – the reason he was on the list was because the link to Hibernian in his infobox is wrong (it's Hibernian F.C – i.e. missing the second dot). When you see ones like this, can you fix the infobox, otherwise next time the list is run, he'll pop up again! Cheers, Number 57 08:53, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi. I've noticed the good work you do on here. I was wondering if you'd be interested in contributing to this ambitious British Isles challenge to bringing about 10,000 improvements to the UK and Ireland. The drive is fuelled by regional contests every few months, but it general an ongoing content improvement development. If you'd be interested in chipping in with the articles you improve please add your name to the participants and start adding your entries to the big list. Diversity of input will make it much more interesting to peruse! Thanks.♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:29, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

We'd like to invite you to participate in a user study closely related to SuggestBot. User:Another Article is seeking to understand more about the workflow and time commitment of contributors to the English Wikipedia. As part of this study you will occasionally be prompted to answer questions about your editing activity, and these questions should never take more than a minute or two to complete. The intended length of the study is two weeks, but your actual time commitment is totally up to you. If you would like to see more details you can read the project proposal at Research:Measuring editor time commitment and workflow (on meta), but if you are feeling bold and would like just like to sign up right now you can add the line importScript("User:Another_Article/workflowstudyclient.js");
to your common.js
. Contact User:Another Article if you have any questions about this study!

Brian Welsh
You started a discussion in 2010 in the biographies of living persons regarding Brian Welsh, the article which was debated was removed for various reasons. Can you please help to remove this again as it has recently been added. Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FB90:6493:CF16:0:1E:1CAC:ED01 (talk) 13:29, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Jmorrison230582. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
James Will
Hi Jmorrison230582,
I notice that you created the "James Will" article. A very fine article may I add.
I was wondering what your source was for determining that James Will's "Senior career" at Arsenal began in 1991. He made his Arsenal first-team debut aged 18 in a friendly against Tottenham on October 13, 1990 in the Graham Rix testimonial. He may not have been a professional at the club at that point but as he'd turned 18 six days earlier, I would be quite surprised if he wasn't by then.
All the best,
Standingfish (talk) 19:15, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for getting back to me. I'm almost certain that James Will signed professional forms with Arsenal in either 1989 or 1990 but until I'm certain, I'll leave it as it is. The only thing I'm 100% sure about is that he joined Arsenal as an apprentice or trainee in 1988. Unless a player goes on to make a league appearance for a club in either the Premier League or Football League (Will didn't), then sadly information about that player will often disappear without trace. James Will played 6 times for the Arsenal first-team in non-competitive games but never in a competitive game.
- All the best,

Brian McKeown (former Airdrieonians & Queen of South player)
I think I will have a go at creating this player's page as practice and I'll use the sandbox. I had a go last year doing Willie Watters the (former Kilmarnock) player's page using the sandbox and then noticed someone else had created his page soon after, anyway. So if that's okay, you can let me know. I actually watched this player at Queens in the Nineties. Rusty1111 : Talk 21:57, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Scottish Parliament list changes
You have more than once reverted an edit by mine to add a December 2016 change of list MSPs. You are correct that this is not a by-election. However, the article also lists earlier swaps of list MSPs, in which an MSP died/resigned and (except in Margo MacDonald's case) got replaced by someone else from the same party. I don't see how the December 2016 list change was any different from these earlier changes. So I see two options:
- The article could be just about by-elections, as implied by the title.
- The article could be about both by-elections and list changes, in which case the December 2016 list change should be included with those that are currently on the article.
I'm open to the argument that list changes shouldn't really be in the article, but it has to be consistent. 92.1.212.198 (talk) 22:39, 8 March 2017 (UTC)

Scotland WNT caps and goals
Thank you for your recent edits to Scotland women's national football team. Quick question about the archive page you mentioned in the edit summary: I just did a few quick searches of female footballers (e.g., Kim Little, Joelle Murray, Gemma Fay) to test it out, and once you click into the individual record they all say "Appearances: 0; Goals: 0". Did you manage to get actual caps and goals records when you updated the roster? Mightytotems (talk) 17:02, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

All citations provided are pertaining to him being called the greatest manager of all time. So that's what it's should say in the article as well. I have no idea why you guys are so adamant in reverting that when clearly the citations say otherwise. Renoogreverof (talk) 08:49, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
