Autopatrolled
[edit]Hi Mellamelina, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 12:49, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
Hello, Mellamelina
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Adamtt9, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Valentin Royer, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Adamtt9}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Deletion discussion about Valentin Royer
[edit]Hello Mellamelina, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Valentin Royer, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Valentin Royer.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Adamtt9}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Paragraph breaks in Federer: Twelve Final Days
[edit]Hi @Mellamelina, just wondering, what is your rationale for adding a new paragraph for a critic in the critical response section vs. adding the review inline? xRENEGADEx (talk | contribs) 08:22, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ease of reading, but you're free to change it. Mellamelina (talk) 08:42, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
Alexey Zakharov
[edit]Hi @Mellamelina, your article Draft:Alexey Zakharov is significant, here is a Russian-language analogue: ru:Захаров, Алексей Алексеевич (теннисист) , but it should be called: Alexey Zakharov (tennis), because in the Russian-language section of the Wiki, there are 14 articles about different Alexey Zakharov - see: ru:Захаров, Алексей. Zboris (talk) 16:18, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, but I don't believe it has to be titled "Alexey Zakharov (tennis)" because there are currently no other articles with that name on the English-language Wikipedia. It would be an unnecessary disambiguation. See WP:DAB. Mellamelina (talk) 18:07, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, but compare these search queries:

Imane Khelif article
[edit]Hi, there are several reliable sources who have said that Imane Khalif is not a transgender person. I read the article's talk page and there are only one IP addresses requesting that information be removed.
Why remove it?
Could you also explain why you removed the information about the rights of transgender people in Algeria?
Esterau16 (talk) 21:01, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Esterau16: Of course she's not and there is nothing that suggests she is, so why insist on adding the word "transgender" to her biography (based on some "counter speculations" about "baseless speculations")? As for the rights of transgender in Algeria, what does that have to do with her? M.Bitton (talk) 21:07, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- There is massive misinformation on internet that she is transgender. This is more than enough reason to clarify in the article that she is not transgender. Please also note that there is a paragraph in this article that may lead many people to wrongly think or conclude that she is a transgender person: «According to International Boxing Association (IBA) president Umar Kremlev, DNA testing of Khelif and other athletes "proved they had XY chromosomes and were thus excluded from the sports events». September 2024
[edit]Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Vertigo (film), please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 15:28, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- I based it off of this article by MovieWeb, but if you don't agree, I won't fight it. It's not a big deal to me either way. Mellamelina (talk) 15:54, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, nice find; I'll have to take a look at that later! You're welcome to add a blurb to the article and include that article as the citation, at which point I'd have no objection to re-adding the category. Thanks for your thoughtful response! DonIago (talk) 17:51, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi, can i get your e-mail? I have written the text of an article and collected the sources (it's a biography article of a female media personality), but I've never created a new article and I'm looking for someone who has experience with it and would like to. Would you be willing to help? Mlody1312 (talk) 13:47, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

Translations?
[edit]Hi there, Mellamelina, and thank you for creating several recent articles which appear to have been based on articles in other language versions of Wikipedia. I was wondering whether you were aware of the need to establish attribution in this connection? I suggest you look carefully through Help:Translation and avoid copyright problems by adding appropriate edit summaries. Please let me know if you run into any problems. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 14:50, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Can you give me specific examples? When I create articles based on foreign works, for example, I haven't been translating from other Wikipedia articles. Mellamelina (talk) 16:08, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- If you create them yourself, without reference to articles in other versions, then of course there's no need but in future, you might find some useful details and sources in them. If so, you can also mention the pertinent version in the corresponding edit summary. (If you want me to see your responses, don't forget to ping me.) Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:52, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
