I generated the image but it’s been removed from Draft:Bjorn Vido
please do accept it to be moved onto the main space Vanityorpride (talk) 16:13, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Let me correct the statement for you.
- You said "
I generated the image but it’s been removed from Draft:Bjorn Vido
." However, that should read "I generated the image but I removed It from Draft:Bjorn Vido
" - It's a small point, but an important one
- The pedigree of the picture is being dealt with on Wikimedia Commons (talk page watcher) 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:22, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- True
- I’m learning more on Wikipedia everyday especially its laws on images
- now that I removes the image from the article does it meet the requirements for approval or I should work on another article and leave this one Vanityorpride (talk) 16:24, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Vanityorpride It is not the image that hinders/hindered acceptance. The reviewers said what they felt disqualified it from acceptance. I have not reviewed it, not even in passing, but I suspect them to be correct.
- The thing is, I don't review drafts that have been rejected unless something spectacular is different.
- You are free to move ity yourself, as I have said before. There is no penalty to you for doing so. the review process is not compulsory
- Images are almost always handled on Wikimedia Commons. If you have permission to have uploaded that one you should use c:COM:VRT to register that permission. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:34, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Beginning to see some trouble in Piece by Piece (2024 film) again
A user with the handle "The Clutch Powers" is making [1] [2] more edits about the companies "Tongal" and Pure Imagination Studios. A relatively new user. Claims they recieve an "in association with" credit in the film. the user tries to present these companies as production companies. Even if this is so, and I myself believe it: This is obviously not the definition of a production company. Stark difference there.
Anyway, this could be a sock or meatpuppet from the Pure Imagination Studios company, seeing as we've encountered this trouble before by one of their paid interns trying to add this information (if you recall). It may be too early to invoke WP:DUCK, but I've got my suspicions. Just wanted to put this forth to your attention.
Hope you've been doing well! BarntToust (talk) 14:47, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry I dont understant how I can make an article about prof Polyakov. I made this draft, included some references but it was rejected. Pls clarify what Im doing wrong. John S. Ford (talk) 16:43, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
- It was declined not rejected. As per previous reviewers comment "this is still far from adequate: in articles on living people, every material statement, anything potentially contentious, and all private personal details such as DOB must be clearly supported by inline citations to reliable published sources, or else removed." You have vast swathes of unsourced content. Theroadislong (talk) 16:46, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

Hi, you have mentioned Times of India is not a reliable source which surprises me. Times of India is one of the leading news paper and news websites in India. KualaLumpurian (talk) 13:17, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for your help with my article on the above. You said remove external links and add citations. Can you please be more precise to what bits of information you are referring to? I also don't understand why you would delete external links once you add a citation? In academic literature adding links is standard practice.
Are you referring to the links to the paintings?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Eikoku (talk • contribs) 14:57, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Eikoku You have external links to https://www.edmontonartclub.com https://www.albertasocietyofartists.com and a number of museums, we don’t use links like that in the body of a Wikipedia article. Theroadislong (talk) 17:57, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
OK thank you very much. So re the museum and gallery holdings at the end what should I do? Should I link to the Wikipedia page of the institution and then have the artwork as a reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eikoku (talk • contribs) 18:17, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yes that's right. Please also read WP:REFB for help with correctly formatting sources for example what are the "Supra" sources intended to be? Theroadislong (talk) 19:01, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- OK thanks. Supra means above in Latin and is a standard form of citation in ac academic works. Eikoku (talk) 19:07, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

- Oh so I found this - it seems you just repeat the citation? Arthur Lismer See footnote 15 and 16. Eikoku (talk) 16:41, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yes that's a possibility, though not a very tidy one. Theroadislong (talk) 16:43, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

- So for footnote 8 and 9 which is taken from the same source as 3 - based in the Arthur Lismer page and the John Duncan Ferguson page which just repeats the same citation in full - for footnote 8 and 9 I just repeat citation 3? Thank you. Eikoku (talk) 18:09, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

I don't know what Supra 18 or ibid refers to, this is why we don't use your method of citations here, because when another editor adds a source the numbering of the references changes. Theroadislong (talk) 18:45, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Would like to resubmit my Article for publishing
Dear Theroadislong, I hope you are well. It's been some months since our last discussion about my Article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Manfred_Little_Konzett , and since then I've found new press articles for citations, have cleaned up older, broken citation-links, and streamlined the article. This time, in my Draft as I edit, I don't find the option to submit for publishing. Could you please advise when you have a moment? Thank you, Beth Wimmer Beth Wimmer (talk) 06:48, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Decline of draft article
Hi, regardless of the indepdendent sources I added to the article, you mentioned that "the article should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed.".
First of all, all the sources are independent. In addition, this event complies with notability rules. Summit is the first such event in the Azerbaijan and region. It is continuing for years. You can find a lot of secondary sources about this event in internet. Please, give exact reasons that why the article was declined. After that, I can improve the article. Thanks in advance. Əhməd Qurbanov (talk) 13:39, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- You are free to re-submit and let another reviewer take a look, I think it is just blatant advertising and reads nothing like an encyclopaedia article, you clearly have a conflict of interest too, but have not disclosed it yet. Theroadislong (talk) 13:58, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "clearly have a conflict of interest?" What is the reason behind that? If someone creates the article about any event, is it the conflict of interest? Əhməd Qurbanov (talk) 14:19, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Əhməd Qurbanov (talk page watcher) Setting your indignation aside, do yu have a conflict of interest? 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:36, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- You said on your talk page "regardless of my position to the event, I wrote the article neutrally. I don't promote anything" Theroadislong (talk) 14:47, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Timtrent, I don't have indignation. I like to learn from mistakes. But I don't know why you keep accusing me of having a conflict of interest. No, I don't. I wanted to write an article about it because the number of participants in the event, its notability in the region and in Azerbaijan, and the number of independent and reliable sources writing about it have increased. This year, third edition of event is expected, and in my opinion, it will be organized in the future as well. Əhməd Qurbanov (talk) 14:54, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Theroadislong, I mean that, regardless of my opinion (positive or negative) to this event, I wrote the article neutrally. In the article, you can not see any promotional sentences. Əhməd Qurbanov (talk) 14:56, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- You need to review what constitutes neutral tone then. I can see a LARGE number of promotional sentences... “The summit brings together technology entrepreneurs, companies and startups” “It impacts innovations and presents the opinions of professionals from different countries” “This summit connects speakers, investors, and collaborators from more than 25 countries” “The third such event is planned to be held on October 10-11, 2024” “participants are provided to get acquainted with local and regional startup authors.” “The summit will include a startup competition with a $25,000 prize fund.” Theroadislong (talk) 15:03, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- But they are facts. What is expected to be written in the article about innovation events? I put all the appropriate references to support these sentences. Əhməd Qurbanov (talk) 15:09, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Əhməd Qurbanov The problem with facts is the way we express them. Forgive me if I am making assumptions, the more so since your English is excellent; your character choice for the first character of your user name suggests that English might be a second language for you, an excellent one. Despite excellence, this means that nuances of phrasing may present some challenges.
- I can present the same fact neutrally or promotionally:
- The guests were served with a souvenir piece of wedding cake, boxed for them to take away
- The spectacularly arrayed guests, chosen from the very best of society, were served with a souvenir piece of the most delicious and incredible wedding cake, presented in a bejewelled and gilded sumptuous box made of the finest parchment.
- I know that you can see the difference, yet they are both facts.
- I have purposely not read the example that Theroadislong chose above, knowing that you can see the point they make. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:47, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, @Əhməd Qurbanov. Your answer is clear. I felt it was possible that you had not answered the prior question completely. Rather than getting into a discussion about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin I just asked the question in modified form again. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:40, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

The page Draft:Jewish Educational Media has a citation at every single paragraph besides for the list of book publications but that doesn't need references. there is a posted an archive of search results from the biggest judaica store in New York, Judaica World. of all the books see here.
so how can you say there is several uncited paragraphs?? 69.75.169.38 (talk) 00:42, 8 October 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Theroadislong. Thanks for reviewing my article submission. I'm hoping you can advise me on what improvements I can make to depict the subject of the article as a notable person. She has published several novels that have won awards and has been the subject of Canadian media coverage in reputable national outlets such as CBC and the Globe and Mail a number of times. Would more citations help? Any input would be much appreciated. All the best. Ookeeffee (talk) 16:28, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for reviewing my page Draft:Payara Services.. I have followed your advice and updated with independant sources such as DZone, ZDNEt, InfoQ and hope these resources are fine. If there is any other feedback, please let me know Cyto2015 (talk) 23:42, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
Draft:DIALux
Hello Theroadislong, thanks a lot fore reviewing the Draft:DIALux article. I have tried to eliminate all the points you criticized. Your comments and feedback are always welcome. I really appreciate it. 37.201.193.229 (talk) 09:53, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
Declined article
Hi Theroadislong,
I’m reaching out to better understand the reason behind the decline of my article. In your comment, you mentioned, "Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established."
As you may have noticed, I previously revised the article based on similar feedback. I added several independent publications, removed press releases, clearly stated when information is from the company itself, and included additional sources demonstrating the company’s relevance in research.
I genuinely believed these revisions would bring the article in line with Wikipedia's neutrality and reliability standards, so I’m unsure what further adjustments might be needed. Could you please provide more specific feedback on what remains problematic?
Thank you for your time and guidance.
Kind regards, 3DmicroPrintExpert (talk) 10:44, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @3DmicroPrintExpert: you say you've removed press releases, but I count six sources that expressly say they are press releases, and I suspect there are others that don't say that but probably are. There is also a Forbes contributor article cited, which is not considered independent and reliable (see WP:FORBESCON). There may well be solid sources also, among the 50+ (on which point, see WP:REFBOMB for why such a large number of sources is in itself problematic), but they are obstructed by the dross. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:01, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @DoubleGrazing
- I thought the more sources I use, the better it will be for clarification, just like I'm used to doing when writing scientific articles. For example, in the previous draft I had a source that said that all these unis use machines from the company, and in a comment on a talk page I was told that one article isn't enough. So I looked for a source for each uni, which ends up in more sources. I'll look up the article you cited for me, but tbh for me as a scientist limiting sources doesn't make any sense at all. There are so many tiny/side rules here that I am learning from one draft to the next.
- Yes, there are still press releases, but in the beginning I had a lot more of them. I was told that it wasn't a problem to use them as long as you cited them as press releases, which I did. So is it still problematic? Why is there even an option to mark a source as a press release if you can't use it?
- Thanks for sending me that list of trustworthy and untrustworthy media. I didn't know about this list and will definitely check it out!
- So do I understand you correctly that from your point of view adding all the sources made it worse than before and I should delete a huge amount of them? Is there anything else you would give me an advice on?
- Sorry for all the questions, but I'm just trying to understand. 3DmicroPrintExpert (talk) 11:20, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure whom told you press releases are okay, but they absolutely cannot be used to establish notability as they are a primary source, and their use must be as such- only to source basic, factual information(like location, number of employees, etc.) 331dot (talk) 11:33, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- @331dot I think it was the person who rejected the first draft, but I don't remember who it was. But we were just talking about the use of press releases in general. Because I didn't cite it as a press release and wasn't aware that that was a category to use. I just didn't see it when I was setting up the first draft. Ok but for something like awards I think most of the time there are only press releases available from the uni/company that handles the award. Would you recommend just deleting those awards? 3DmicroPrintExpert (talk) 11:45, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, the awards section should be removed, none of those awards have articles. If they did, it would be okay to cite them for the awarding of the award(i.e. it's fine AFAIK to cite the Academy's website to show a person got an Academy Award. 331dot (talk) 14:22, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

Hey there, I already make her biography, sources per WP:SOURCES, pageantary when she goes to Competitions like Miss World Miss Universe Canada 2024 and appointed on Miss Universe Somalia 2024. Should i sumbit again or what! 77.77.219.225 (talk) 07:34, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- I aready replied on your talk page. You need to re-write the draft in a dry neutral tone (no adjectives) reporting ONLY what the sources say Theroadislong (talk) 07:38, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Theroadislong sounds good, I will add another source from Miss World 2021 when she was competition, there should be 2nd source per WP:SOURCE. 77.77.219.225 (talk) 07:43, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
Draft declined
Hello @Theroadislong, regarding my Draft, I think you may have missed that the information in the sources are not solely coming from interviews, the two articles that mention interviews are independent reliable sources that have done their own research most importantly. Also, Wikipedia's 5 major guidelines don't say anything about interviews not being reliable sources. Biographies of famous people often mention appearances on platforms such as TED talks or documentaries, so this is similar to that. The biography only mentions in a neutral way that the subject appeared in a newspaper and was funded by external organisations. Thanks for the help! Hlfdalla (talk) 14:43, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- You are free to re-submit and get other opinions but I consider that Draft:Filippo Dall'Armellina currently fails WP:GNG. Not seeing any in-depth significant coverage. Theroadislong (talk) 15:01, 14 October 2024 (UTC)

Subject: Clarification and Request for Further Guidance on Sources
Dear Theroadislong,
Thank you for your feedback on the draft article for Spaceflight Simulator. I understand the importance of meeting Wikipedia's notability guidelines, particularly the need for reliable, in-depth, and independent sources.
Currently, much of the coverage surrounding Spaceflight Simulator is within niche communities, smaller tech sites, and forums like NASASpaceflight and some YouTube reviews. These sources do provide insights into the game's development, mechanics, and user reception, but I realize they may not meet the depth required. Unfortunately, major independent gaming outlets have not provided substantial articles on the game at this stage.
I would appreciate any specific guidance you could offer on how to proceed. Are there ways to strengthen the draft by utilizing these niche sources more effectively, or would you recommend waiting for more significant coverage in the future? Any suggestions on how to improve the submission to align with Wikipedia's standards would be invaluable.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
Infoadder95 Infoadder95 (talk) 11:15, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Reference User:Infoadder95/sandbox you say that you understand "the need for reliable, in-depth, and independent sources" but your draft has none, forums and YouTube videos are not appropriate, you will need significant coverage in reliable, [[WP:IS|independent secondary sources. Theroadislong (talk) 11:41, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Reviewer,
- I fully understand the importance of ensuring articles on Wikipedia are both reliable and verifiable. Unfortunately, the topic of Spaceflight Simulator lacks substantial coverage outside of forums, developer-published sources, and a few smaller review websites. However, it is important to note that Spaceflight Simulator has gained a significant following, with over 20 million players. It also draws attention from fans of related games such as Kerbal Space Program and Juno New Origins, which are similarly niche but highly popular in their communities.
- I am reaching out again in the hope that this time, you can take my full message into consideration. I realize that current sources may not fully meet the typical standards, but I believe the game’s widespread popularity and influence within the simulation gaming community provide a strong case for inclusion.
- Could you kindly provide further guidance on how best to move forward with this draft? Any assistance in refining it to better meet Wikipedia’s standards would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise this article would have to be rejected du to lack of coverage.
- Thank you for your time and consideration.
- Best regards,
- Infoadder95 Infoadder95 (talk) 12:22, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- having "a significant following, with over 20 million players" is NOT a part of the the notability criteria. "widespread popularity and influence within the simulation gaming community" is NOT a part of the the notability criteria. You are correct that the draft will be rejected due to lack of coverage. I'm sorry I can't help with that. Theroadislong (talk) 12:37, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

- Hello,
- I wanted to clarify that I do not use an LLM (Large Language Model) for generating my responses. However, after five years of working closely with them, my style has naturally adapted to the patterns commonly seen in such models. Also, as English is not my native language, I occasionally rely on them to refine my grammar and comprehension.
- This particular response, however, was not generated by an LLM. I am also very addicted to highlight my main points by making them bold.

- There is a probability of 0.67 that the sandbox is LLM generated as well, regardless of your prior comment 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:49, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

- List of House of Lords cases 2008
- List of House of Lords cases 2009
I would like to make List of House of Lords cases a directory of links to these pages.
I have matched the existing structure of the 3 existing pages, but the drafts were rejected for not having secondary sources.
But this hasn't happened for the three existing pages. This also does not seem to apply to List of acts of the Scottish Parliament from 2024, List of acts of Senedd Cymru from 2024, List of acts of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 2024, List of acts of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 2024, 2024 judgments of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom so I am confused why it is being applied to these pages. I was under the impression that law-related lists did not have the same requirements and apex court cases are inherently notable. SqrtLog (talk) 16:35, 22 October 2024 (UTC)

Dan Barouch
I made an edit to Dan Barouch, which through my incompetence was not to the latest version. I realised I'd done this and tried to revert it, but failed because of your subsequent edit. Rather than muddy the waters further, I thought I'd mention this to you and hope you can put it right - particularly the way he is named in the first line of the article.
