"I particularly loved a scene in the last story that further shows how spot on Elementary happens to be with their portrayal even with it being a more modern adaptation. Sherlock standing by Watson's bed as he wakes, fully dressed, telling him what he's done and what is to be done, and to hurry with the cocoa is like many of the scenes with Joan and Sherlocke in Elementary that I find hilarious." — Nov 17, 2014 09:31AM

“It was times like these when I thought my father, who hated guns and had never been to any wars, was the bravest man who ever lived.”

“My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite.”

“It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it.”

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
― The Fellowship of the Ring
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
― The Fellowship of the Ring
“Love all, trust a few,
Do wrong to none: be able for thine enemy
Rather in power than use; and keep thy friend
Under thy own life's key: be check'd for silence,
But never tax'd for speech.”
― All's Well That Ends Well
Do wrong to none: be able for thine enemy
Rather in power than use; and keep thy friend
Under thy own life's key: be check'd for silence,
But never tax'd for speech.”
