Qualification

[edit | edit source]World Aquatics dey establish qualifying times give individual events. De time standards dey consist of two types, namely "Olympic Qualifying Time" (OQT, colloquially dem know am as de A-cut) den "Olympic Consideration time" (OCT, colloquially dem know am as de B-cut). Each country fi enter maximum of two swimmers per event, provide say dem meet de (faster) qualifying time. A country fi enter one swimmer per event wey dey meet de invitation standard. Any swimmer wey meet de "qualifying" time dem go enter into de event for de Games; a swimmer wey dey meet de "invitation" standard be eligible for entry dem allot by ranking. If a country no get swimmer wey dey meet either of de qualifying standards, e fi enter one male den one female. A country no dey receive allocation spot buh dey enter at least one swimmer wey dey achieve qualifying standard fi enter those plus de highest ranking.[12][13]
Relay events

- 3: top three teams base for dema final results top dem achieve for de 2023 World Aquatics Championships insyd Fukuoka, Japan
- 13: top thirteen teams, plus de fastest times base upon de results dem achieve insyd dema preliminary heat den finals performances insyd de 2023 World Aquatics Championships insyd Fukuoka den 2024 World Aquatics Championships insyd Doha, dey exclude those teams dem already qualify insyd dat event from de 2023 World Aquatics Championships insyd Fukuoka.
All athletes dem enter insyd individual events dem fi use dem insyd relays, even if dem no achieve de OCT for de corresponding stroke den distance of de relay for wich dem enter.[15] Relay teams fi compose of additional athletes according to de number of events dem qualify for.
Open-water swimming

- 3: de three medalists insyd de 10 km races for de 2023 World Aquatics Championships insyd Fukuoka, Japan
- 13: de top thirteen swimmers wey dey vie for qualification for de 2024 World Aquatics Championships insyd Doha, Qatar
- 5: one representative from each FINA continent (Africa, de Americas, Asia, Europe, den Oceania).
- 1: from de host nation (France) if dem no qualify by oda means. If one anaa more French open water swimmers qualify regularly den directly, dem go relocate dema slots to de next highest-ranked eligible swimmers from de 2024 World Aquatics Championships.
