Serranidae atau Keluarga Ikan Kerapu adalah sebuah famili besar ikan dalam ordo Perciformes. Famili ini berisi sekitar 450 spesies ikan yang tersebar dalam 65 genus, termasuk beberapa jenis ikan bass laut dan kerapu (subfamili Epinephelinae). Meskipun banyak spesiesnya yang berukuran kecil, namun kerapu kertang (Epinephelus lanceolatus) dapat tumbuh hingga berukuran 2,7 meter (8 kaki 10 inci) dan seberat 400 kg (880 lb), sehingga ikan tersebut merupakan salah satu ikan bertulang terbesar di dunia[2]. Perwakilan kelompok ini hidup di laut tropis dan subtropis di seluruh dunia.
