Clavus cochleatus
Appearance
Clavus cochleatus[1][2] est genus vinculi quo duae aut plures res coniungi sive configi possunt. Consistit in clavo, chalybis aut aeris facto, in quo stria helicalis formata est, et in cuius capite est sulculus. Hic clavus in lignum, aut materiem aliam, torquendo impellitur, (et detorquendo e ligno removetur). Instrumentum quo clavus cochleatus torquetur, torculum, consistit in hastile chalybeo cum lamine plano vel capite stelliformi, quod in sulculo clavi applicatur ut torqueatur.
