VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 is the third official tournament circuit by Riot Games. The circuit was announced on September 14th, 2022 with a blog post. [1]
Format[edit]
Pro system[edit]
LOCK//IN São Paulo[edit]
- 30 partner teams from
the International Leagues and 2 invited teams from
China playing it out in
São Paulo.
- The winner will earn an additional spot for their league at
Masters Tokyo.

International Leagues[edit]
- Three on-LAN leagues, one in each international territory.
- Each league consists of 10 partner teams selected by Riot.
- The best teams from each region qualify to
Masters and
Champions.
Masters Tokyo[edit]
- Top 3 teams from each
International League and 2 teams from
China League playing it out in
Chiba.
EMEA League got 4 spots due to the win of
Fnatic in
LOCK//IN.
- The winner will earn an additional spot for their regional
Last Chance Qualifiers runner-up or
China Qualifier fourth-place at the
Champions.
Last Chance Qualifiers[edit]
- Teams not able to qualify for Champions through
International League, play for the last
Champions spots.
EMEA LCQ got 2 spots due to
Fnatic's win in
Masters Tokyo.
Champions[edit]
- Top 3 teams from each
International League,
China Qualifier and the winner from each
Last Chance Qualifiers compete for the title of world champion in
Los Angeles.
Semi-pro system[edit]
Challengers Leagues[edit]
- 23 minor regional leagues across the three international territories
- The top challenger teams qualify for the
Ascension tournament in their respective international territory
Ascension[edit]
- Four tournaments, one in each international territory
- Featuring the best
Challengers teams in each region
- The winners of each Ascension tournament qualify for the
2024 and 2025 International League in their respective international territory.
Women's and Marginalized Gender's Pro System[edit]
Game Changers[edit]
- Women's and other marginalized genders circuit taking place throughout the year in different regions
- The best teams from each region compete in an international event at the end of the year
