Halak's ring is an item that can be found while excavating the tunnelling equipment repository hotspots at the Daemonheim Dig Site. Once obtained, the player may bring it to Skaldrun near the tents in the dig site; doing so will cause the player to experience a memory associated with the A New Home mystery.

• 'It is fine,' you think, repeating the old pitch to yourself. 'You need not go to the kitchen if the kitchen can come to you.'
• The door that, moments ago, led from this office into a sprawling garden reveals itself to be a gateway to that imagined kitchen.
• Your mind has wandered between ideas of improved efficiencies and reduction of that damnable abrasive din. Of questions of automation for a daily schedule or as a matter of security.
• It must have been an hour. Yes, right on schedule, the rumbling vibrations from deep below vibrate through your feet.
• You imagine the large masses of stone and dirt tumbling through their new home in the deep abyss, liberated from their dull existence in the earth.
• The builders appear in the eye of your mind, cleaning up and stabilising the place.
• More cubes to produce then, but that can wait. The glorious scent of the gallimastyx meat you have been preparing snaps you back to reality.
