A pineapple is a fruit used in several gnome cooking recipes, and used with a knife to create pineapple ring or pineapple chunks. Pineapples are required for crafting pineapple pizza, fruit blasts, and pineapple punches.

It can be picked from pineapple plant located in Karamja and Ape Atoll. It can be also harvested from a pineapple plant grown from a pineapple seed in a fruit tree patch, requiring level 51 Farming. Up to six pineapples can be harvested from an pineapple tree at a time.

Players can also use ten pineapples to pay a gardener to watch over a growing papaya tree.

Players with level 69 Summoning may summon a Fruit bat and use its fruit fall special to receive a decent amount of pineapples.

Arhein in Catherby will also sell pineapples for 2 coins each, but he has a limited stock of 40 per day. These can only be purchased through dialogue options and come noted.

Players can also receive 40 free noted pineapples once per day from Dell Monti in Brimhaven after completion of easy Karamja achievements.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In Burgh De Rott Ramble/Temple Trekking, players can trade pineapples to their follower as food, despite being inedible without cutting them first.
  • Previously, players would receive the following chatbox message when chopping pineapples: You slice the Pineapple intochunks., without a space between "into" and "chunks". This has been fixed.
  • When attempting to slice a pineapple while pineapple rings and plain pizzas are also in the inventory, there is a bug that causes the menu to mix the latter two to appear, preventing the player from slicing the pineapple.
  • In RuneScape Classic there used to be two pineapples, "Pineapples" and "Fresh Pineapples". The former could be obtained from pineapple plants but when fresh pineapples were released as part of gnome cooking, pineapple plants yielded the fresh ones instead. The original pineapples which were then sometimes referred to as 'old pineapple' by players was no longer obtainable for a short time, but was later added to the droptable of jogres which still drop them to this day. Since RuneScape 2 this distinction between two different pineapples no longer exists.[1]
