Category[edit source]

Could you please not add category:construction to those pages? They are already a part of category menagerie which is a subcategory of Player-owned house which is a subcategory of construction. So what you're adding is redundant... MolMan 14:05, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

Resource dungeon[edit source]

The section you edited is for the Taverley Dungeon hellhound resource dungeon, not the Chaos Tunnels. There are black dragons on the way to the hellhound resource dungeon if you take that route, though I'm not sure if it's dependent on agility? sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 01:16, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

I was just coming here to point this out, and to say that I've reverted it (with the exception of the multi-combat reference). AnselaJonla 01:17, July 2, 2013 (UTC)
Oops, my error. Thank you! Agility may be required for shortcut if dusty key is not obtained. Black dragons are not aggressive anymore though, so antifire shouldn't be necessary. MAGE-KIL-R (Talk) 01:40, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

Multicombat[edit source]

Would you like a list of every page that has the word multicombat in it? MolMan 00:26, July 3, 2013 (UTC)

Vanguard Armour[edit source]

Hi! I undid your edit because Category:Minigames is only used for articles on minigames, not including the rewards from them. Thanks! ɳex undique 16:10, September 8, 2013 (UTC)

Alice's name[edit source]

Alessandra comes from the official wiki's page about Alice. Someone copy-pasted the entire thing onto our page earlier, so I had to remove that, and I don't really have the energy to try and make my own version using their story. If you feel like it, could you please do that? The link is in one of my edit summaries to the page. AnselaJonla 05:28, February 5, 2014 (UTC)

Kitchen cabinet.png[edit source]

Hi, thanks for improving the article on the kitchen cabinet by adding this image to the wiki. I am leaving this message to let you know that there are some problems with the image and that I've added tags to the image page to show this. Firstly, if you're taking an image for this wiki you should put your graphics settings to 4x AA (anti-aliasing) in game. Without AA images end up looking choppy/jagged. You can find out more about setting your graphics settings for taking images here. Secondly, you can use the Orb of Occulus to zoom in on objects and take larger images to show items in more detail. Once again, thanks for contributing this image. I hope that these points help you if you take more images in future; feel free to leave me or any other editor a talk message if you want help with images. Thanks, IsobelTalk page 17:27, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Question[edit source]

On your spelling correction spree, are you just doing "find and replace all" to change spellings?

If you are, please switch to manual f+r to avoid creating redlinks in file names. AnselaJonla 18:49, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

Eh, that is manual. "Find and replace all" is copying it into something like open office and using the find and replace function to do it all in one go.
Regardless of how you do it, if the misspelled word is part of a file name (i.e. between double square brackets with File: as the first word after the [[), don't change the spelling. If you do, then the file won't be found by the page, and so will show up as something like 300px in red text. AnselaJonla 19:55, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

2014 RSW Family Photo[edit source]

RE:Spirit Gems[edit source]

I noticed that too, after a few edits. :P I kinda wanna leave it as a troll, but I'd better revert it back. :P  Salix (Talk)  23:14, May 11, 2017 (UTC)

Seems like Ciph fixed it. :)  Salix (Talk)  23:19, May 11, 2017 (UTC)

The Wikian Title[edit source]

Hi MAGE-KIL-R, your request for the Wikian title was successful. Please contact Gaz Lloyd on his talk page, in the wiki Discord channel, or in-game (RSN: Gaz_Lloyd) so that he may give you the title. Sincerely, --LiquidTalk 23:18, May 11, 2017 (UTC)

Table syntax[edit source]

It is better to use class="wikitable align-left-1" style="text-align:center;" at the top of the table instead of |style="text-align: center;" at every line. CephHunter (talk) 21:23, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

RE:Off-hand[edit source]

It's hidden on Module:Infobox Bonuses lines 85 and 86. But I've already changed it. Next time, you can check the template that is used, then check the code of the template if the code does not contain the word that you're seeking, then check the documentation of the template to see if a module is called (look for the word 'LUA'). Then check the module that is linked from the documentation and look for the word there and then change it there.  Salix (Talk)  15:34, May 29, 2017 (UTC)

Re:Help with Sophanem Slayer Dungeon[edit source]

It was the navbox adding the category to the page. I've changed which category that navbox adds, and removed the manual categorisation. AnselaJonla 11:09, June 7, 2017 (UTC)

Seems like Ansela fixed it already. :)  Salix (Talk)  11:35, June 7, 2017 (UTC)

Explorer Jack[edit source]

Actually... Jagex removed some of the beginner tasks which is why everyone now has a lower amount of tasks completed, however Jack still had that previous amount, causing you to get an decrease in tasks done thus not crossing that amount that Jack had registered for you after doing more tasks. At least that's how a Jmod explained it on the Forums.  Salix (Talk)  21:24, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

First of all everyone is equal, I just have a few more tools to use. Second, I'll go look for that jmod quote and replace it with that.  Salix (Talk)  23:19, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

Template:Special attack[edit source]

Hey MAGE-KIL-R, I've renamed Template:Special attack to Template:Weapons that have special attacks so it matches the category, and template names don't have to be that short. :P Also should this template remain this big or can I split it into 3 seperate navboxes for each combat style (Melee/Magic/Ranged)?  Salix (Talk)  01:27, July 20, 2017 (UTC)

It seems other editors disagreed, and all the navboxes were removed and replaced with just the category. The reasoning was that this sufficed as just a category instead of also as a navbox. :/  Salix (Talk)  10:53, July 21, 2017 (UTC)

The navboxes were replaced because a fair few of us on Discord didn’t agree with having a navbox for special attacks, or at least not split like that. Salix didn’t seem to have a problem when we were gonna replace the navboxes, so if he had concerns he should have brought them up? Don’t shoot the messenger anyway, I was just asked to AWB the navbox and replace with a cat. jayden 11:50, July 21, 2017 (UTC)

I don't mind either way, they already have the category either way and the navboxes looked good. But I've requested Jayden to restore them so we can open up an RFD to make the discussion/decision more transparent, which is better than just removing.  Salix (Talk)  12:23, July 21, 2017 (UTC)

A request for deletion has been opened for these templates. jayden 13:43, July 21, 2017 (UTC)

Double check[edit source]

Could you please double check your edits to the Dungeoneering equipment page. I've noticed that you're putting "It may be picked up from the table at the beginning of a dungeon," on all the equipment, even the high tier stuff. I'm pretty certain that's not possible? If it is, please ignore me. AnselaJonla 12:03, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

The DG page itself says low level equipment, and I certainly can't remember getting anything particularly good from in there myself. AnselaJonla 12:22, August 5, 2017 (UTC)
I've asked a jmod on twitter, we'll see what he says. AnselaJonla 13:27, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

RE:Wizard stuff[edit source]

The opening paragraph of an article should ideally sum up what the item is and the most pertinent information, even if said information is duplicated in the infobox. It also allows the page to go into more detail, such as for example saying where the monsters that drop it can be found. Adventurer's log Wahisietel (Talk) 20:36, September 27, 2017 (UTC)

Style infobox NPC thread is closed[edit source]

Action Bar Rework[edit source]

Do you have any old computers you played RuneScape on?[edit source]

Hi MAGE-KIL-R!

Recently we've been trying to recover lost versions of RuneScape that Jagex didn't save. We're asking anybody who played from 2001-2012 to check old computers, laptops, hard drives, or backups for old RuneScape files.

Your userpage says you've been playing since 2005, so it's very likely that you have one of the missing versions. It would be great if you could search any old devices you may have so that these older versions of RuneScape aren't lost forever.

If you have any questions, feel free to join our Discord which shows the specific files we are looking for in full detail, and where people can help guide you through the search. Alternatively you can read our page on the Lost Media Wiki, and leave a message on my talk page.

Vote in the 2024 Weird Gloop elections![edit source]

Hi MAGE-KIL-R,

Because of your involvement with the wiki, you are eligible to vote on the candidates for the board of Weird Gloop, the company that hosts the RuneScape Wikis.

See meta:Weird Gloop elections for general information about the process, and meta:Weird Gloop elections/2024/Candidates for candidate presentations and community questions.

There are 3 candidates for RSW, 4 candidates for OSRSW, and 1 candidate for pt-RSW. If you'd like to influence who represents the voices of these communities inside the company, please consider voting in this election. You are one of only 242 people that meet the requirements, and this is your opportunity to help shape the future of the wikis.

Thanks! BigDiesel2m (talk) 21:41, 1 April 2024 (UTC)

Mage killer?[edit source]

What do you mean by Mage killer?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 147.12.225.6 (talk) on 06:58, 21 June 2024 (UTC).

Back around 2010 I joined a clan dedicated to the Soul Wars minigame called Demonslayers. We were a fairly dominant clan of the minigame and it was always a guaranteed victory for our side. Mages on the opposing team were troublesome for us from time to time (especially with ancient magicks), so I molded my characters skills, armour, prayers and weaponry to become very proficient with rapidly eliminating them and I was quite successful. Clan mates began to call me "mage killer" so I eventually changed my name to that. Even though the Demonslayers clan is long gone, we lasted for several years and those are some great memories and I've just never seen a need to change my name to anything else.
