In addition, its course in the area of the Traianeum could be further narrowed down. Based on the geophysical surveys conducted between 2015 and 2018, the structure, stratigraphy and chronology of one of the corner towers and parts of the course of the wall were examined archaeologically. The expected clarity and state of preservation of the features, as suggested by the geophysical measurements, was not met by the excavation results. By means of an objectified approach in interpreting the geophysical data, an attempt is made to correlate the survey images with the excavation findings. Also problems which arise by comparing radiocarbon dates from bone samples of the necropolis with traditional ceramic chronology are discussed.

The second phase aimed to the excavation of the dunghill of Goles Gate, carrying out analysis of various kinds (ceramic, palynological, faunal, carpological as well as malacofauna). The implementation of the third stage focused on public space «Jardinico Alto», documenting a section of the Islamic and a wall a tower of the walled Seville.

Abstract: In November 2017, we carried out an archaeological excavation consisting of digging to document the spina and meta secunda of the circus of Carteia complementing the geophysical survey carried out the previous year. These works allow us to define the basic characteristics of the circus and suggest a date of construction.

Abstract: The use of non-invasive techniques is a good strategy for the study of large Roman spectacles buildings, both for the accuracy and extension of the data provided and its low cost. Three different techniques have been used to investigate Carteia's circus, georadar, magnetism and electrical resistivity tomography.

Abstract: In the following pages we present the inventory completed in 1767 of the paintings in the Santa Catalina de Córdoba church and college, which has since been converted into the Parish of Santo Domingo de Silos and San Salvador. 185 paintings are mentioned in this inventory, in which we find information concerning their mounts, dedication, measurements, and type of frame as well as the place in which they were found. In most cases, the authorship of the works is omitted, with the exception of three artists, all well-known at the time: Antonio Palomino and Velasco, Pablo de Céspedes and Juan Luis Zambrano.
