Lede sections can repeat content elsewhere in the article
[edit]The lede section (before the first heading) is intended as short summary of important points. It is normal for in a lede to repeat information and citations found elsewhere in the article and is not a reason to delete such material. See MOS:LEAD for more details. Wikipedia has many policies and practices. As a new user, my advice to you is to focus on making positive additions to article content rather than deletions, unless there is a clear policy justication for deletion (vandalism, hate speech, uncited). Similarly a "minor edit" is not what you think it is judging by the way you are marking everything you do as minor. Minor means spelling corrections, formatting, and things that don't change the information content of the article. See WP:MINOR for more details. My advice is, if in any doubt about whether an edit is minor, don't mark it as minor. If I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to ask. Kerry (talk) 02:29, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for this clarification. I will review the edit I made and make the necessary changes. Fluffy cats battalion (talk) 02:39, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of DIDWW Ireland
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on DIDWW Ireland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Fluffy cats battalion, I'm curious. Your account is relatively new and has made mostly minor edits to disparate biographical articles. Can I ask what prompted you to write a new article about a really obscure telecoms company, that almost exactly duplicated a deleted article? BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 11:53, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
