Lazy eye
I think my 7 month old may have a bit of a lazy eye. Its not something anyone noticed in person but my husband and I see it in some pictures. Does anyones LO have a lazy eye? Is it something they grow out of? How is it treated? Could my baby's vision be affected? Thanks :)

- jPosted 04-28-17My LO has one too, and only in pictures lol I think it comes from when she's trying hard to concentrate on something (usually my cellphone while taking the pic). I'll post a pic to see if this is the same kinda thing as your LO.
I asked the doctor about it and he said if it's still around after 6 months to take her to the eye doctor. I'll probably take her next month as it still happens from time to time. - Jilleileen said:My LO has one too, and only in pictures lol I think it comes from when…Oh yes! Thats exactly it. Personally, I think its adorable. I feel like my LO gets it when he is sleepy lol
So, just the regular eye doctor? Like an optometrist?Advertisement | page continues below - My LO has a lazy eye. It was noticed at his 6 month appointment. I waited 5 weeks just for a call to make an appointment with the opthalmologist. That appointment is 4 months from now. So I'd say if you are concerned at all, depending on your area I guess, make the appointment now!

We get some hilarious pics with it but it really bugs my husband for some reason. I'm not worried if it's just a little lazy eye but I'm going to take her in just to make sure it's nothing more! And yes I believe to just a regular optometrist.
- My lo has the same issue. Dr said it might be because his eyes are slightly different shapes when even a little tired. Poor kid inherited my tired droopy eye lol. Same here with so all worried and I think it's cute haha.
Dr said to start by making an appt. with an optometrist because we won't have to wait and babies are covered. They'll be able to tell if it's something that needs to be monitored or if it needs an ophthalmologist. Dr did NOT seem worried, just said to get it checked out and lo may have to do some exercises if it keeps up. - CLK16 said:My LO has a lazy eye. It was noticed at his 6 month appointment. I wa…Might be a different (and more severe) issue for your lo but just an fyi that my dr told us to go to the optometrist since babies are covered and there's less/no wait. They can at least tell if it's something or just nothing to worry about. Maybe try that while you're waiting if you're worried? Seems like a long time to wait for an appointment. Love free medical care but the wait times not so much!
- My sons right eye turns in sometimes although it's a lot less noticeable now at 7.5 months then it was at 4 months. We've had 2 separate appointments with the optometrist, one being today, and his vision is fine and he doesn't need glasses and she also said his eye looks straight to her but because he has a wider nose bridge it can be deceiving. Their eye muscles are still strengthening so a bit of a turn in is normal but if the eye turns out that's when it's something to worry about apparently. Take LO in if you're concerned though, the appointments are a cinch!

- vPosted 04-29-17My son who is now 4 and have perfect vision had a bit of lazy eye we thought in pictures. Nobody noticed but we noticed at times ESP in pictures but it's fine now. My nephew also had that and my sis took him to the optometrist but it fixed itself. They said something abt covering the good eye with a patch so they use their lazy eye more so brain sends more messages to it. I don't think she didn't any of that. Both kids are fine.
