Coach Kip and Coach Gray have been a cornerstone of the wrestling team in York, SC. Both these coaches have transformed our team from one lacking confidence into a group of proud and confident wrestlers striving for excellence. This is not just about sports - it's about the positive impact these coaches have on young lives.

Under their guidance, our wrestling team has seen significant improvements. They've instilled discipline, self-belief and a sense of camaraderie that extends beyond the mat. Their commitment to nurturing talent and building character is unparalleled.

However, recently we were shocked to learn that BOTH coaches have been  removed from their position. This decision not only affects the wrestling team but also disrupts the positive influence these coaches have had on students' lives.

We believe this decision should be reconsidered for the benefit of our youth and community at large. We urge those in charge to reinstate both Coach Kip and Coach Gray back into their positions where they can continue inspiring young athletes towards greatness.

We need a firm guarantee from administration that both coaches will be rehired again next year! The administrative staff has tried to sweep the injustice of firing both coaches under the rug and we need to stand up and speak up for them! They have tried to manipulate the situation and get the petition taken down so that it does not bring attention to this injustice, but it will not work this time! 

They wanted us to take the petition down before they would discuss Coach Gray’s position, once the petition was closed they came back and said the new Athletic Director would need to rehire him, so they could not guarantee he would be rehired next year! A few weeks later they fired Coach Kip!
