Hello there, I want to start off by saying thank you for being here and taking the time to read this and we hope to have your support in giving this young man an opportunity to change his life and learn from his mistakes. 

Daniel Lucas is a Philadelphia native and son to Bernadette Lucas who has dedicated her life to being a day care provider and raising her only son for over 20 years. Growing up, Danny was raised with discipline, good values and knowing the importance of having an education. Danny has always been a role model for his mother's students and even kids in the neighborhood. Throughout the years Daniel was a huge support system for his mother to lean on. 

Sometimes in life we make mistakes and we are faced with unjust consequences. At 23 years old and no criminal history Daniel is facing "decades in prison." Today we are asking for you to support us in our efforts to get Danny a lighter sentence in his case. He is not a bad person or the gangster the media is making him out to be.

Our goal with this petition is to show the judge that he is a whimsical and charismatic young man that doesn’t belong in jail where too many times our children are incarcerated and not given a second chance, so please we implore you to sign ”Yes” and help bring Daniel home!
